  1. Seas have parted for a three day last minute romp of Boise and SLC. LFG. I'll be in an Orioles hat losing it in the dance zone, stop by and say hi. Praise DSO.
  2. 79/12/09 Kiel Auditorium, St. Louis, MO Shakedown>Samson, High Time, Easy to Love You, Terrapin Station>Lost Sailor>Saint>Jam>Drums> While not technically eight, a 7:51 Jam into drums has to count al least a 1/2, right? Praise DSO.
  3. Love in the Afternoon sadly never made it onto the frequency chart. Nice Catch JohnA, barely it sounds. Surprised Willie at the door did not have thinks running smoothly. Praise DSO.
  4. Imagine going into the Fire would bring elation. A transition from Scarlet into not Fire, not so much. Praise DSO.
  5. Unable to like, but second that emotion. Thinking of you DD whenever a AZ show pops. Thanks for the review. Praise DSO.
  6. Not exactly Julie Andrews space there. Always worth the trip though. Praise DSO.
  7. I think of Rude any time Peducah is mentioned on TWC. We ended up with 6 inches of snow covered with 2 inches of mix/ice. Had a dance party and went for a 2 hour walk in the best of the snow at 4AM. Good times. Praise DSO.
  8. Columbus>Wilkes Barre the plan. Great to see momentum for Wilkes Barre. Would love to see more multi night runs. Praise DSO.
  9. All time Road Warrior. Thank you Bob. Jerry will be happy to see you. Praise DSO.
  10. An absolute force on the dance floor, privileged to share space with him on a number of occasions, and discuss Cedar Point rollercoasters after the show. Rest easy friend.

  12. Grabbing a bite in town, then onto the Peak. Praise DSO.
  13. The Grand tradition continues Wednesday evening. Deep family love fills the upstairs dance area. All right with the world for a few magic hours on the mountain. Who's attending? What will they play? How many times will I need to tie my shoelaces? Hoping for New Speedway and sharing some space with loved ones. Praise DSO.
  14. Blessed to have been at all shows this tour, including the late 90/11/01 add on. One of the better shows of the tour, IMHO. Pretty sure a piece of the second set was broadcast on radio. Musicianship high for all members this night. Praise DSO.
  15. Second row center for the original. Quite the ride. Praise DSO.
  16. Easy Wind, Mission in the Rain- quite the inspired twofer there. So glad you made it, Mango. Get well Rob. Peak on the horizon.
  17. Grateful. Praise DSO.
  18. What is it about Tennessee Jed? Seems frequently I am finding it the 'best song' of a first set so far. Is it the placement in the set?, when members are warmed up and ready to go, the sound dialed in? Personal favorite of Jerry? Praise DSO.
  19. Yesterday's yard work playlist. 73/11/11 Winterland 78/05/11 Springfield 90/03/19 Hartford Praise DSO.

  22. This thread needs its name changed to something like Joy of Gratefulsets. Today's wormhole involves second set closers. My routine of checking the day's setlists landed me on 79/10/31 Nassau, where they closed with Truckin'. Let the adventure begin. How many times did that happen? Ten Times. (71/04/06-79/12/03) Englishtown the biggie. I wonder what other songs closed the second set a handful of times? Click on Songs across the head banner, Click on sort by Closer. Answers. Click on the number of Closers, setlists from each show. Answers. Genius work, count2. The entries that prompted the post: Promised Land closed the first set 147 times, it closed the second set once, 80/10/10. The Music Never Stopped closed the first set 162 times, it closed the second set once 76/07/14. End wormhole. Praise DSO.
  23. Gritty win for Blue Jays last night. Ensuring the Series goes back to Toronto. Quality baseball drama. Praise DSO.

  25. Glad to hear I'm not the only one, JohnA. Liking your post virtually. 79/02/03 instance the first China>Rider in 95 shows, amazing that duo was shelved for that long. Your thought provokes one in mine: How many times were Help>Slip>Frank and Scarlet>Fire played at the same show? (Knowing I got one 90/10/31) Well let's see... Opening Gratefulsets.com, type, type. What a know, nine times as well. 77/04/23 Springfield (S>F close the first) 90/06/15 Shoreline 90/10/31 London 91/10/31 Oakland (two halloweens in a row) 92/05/31 Las Vegas 93/04/03 Nassau 94/10/01 Boston 95/02/24 Oakland 95/05/26 Seattle All 90's occurences opened the show with H>S>F and opened the second set with S>F. Figure you were probably at a couple of those. Praise DSO.
