Still hoping to run into my first 60's recreation. Pretty sure Rude got two out of three at one point. Praise DSO.

12/02/23 Ziggy's, Winston Salem, NC Promised Land, West LA Fadeaway, Hell In A Bucket, Loser, Minglewood Blues, Strange Man, Mr. Charlie, I'll Take A Melody, Mexicali Blues>Midnight Moonlight. Saint of Circumstance>Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, Eyes of the World>Dark Star>Alligator>Drums>Space> Alligator>King's Solomon's Marbles>Throwin' Stones> Dark Star>Death Don't Have No Mercy>Johnny B. Goode. E: Golden Road. I did Newport/Pittsburgh/DC in the recent run of shows and considered the elective in Pittsburgh the best show of the three. This fact sparked a thought--what other well played/constructed electives have I seen throughout the years? I know some that prefer their DSO as recreations, I don't mind electives, let them play what they want. Scanning setlists, came across this gem, which is so absurd I had to share. Have a memorable elective? Feel free to share. Praise DSO.

90/10/27 The Zenith, Paris, France Hell In a Bucket>Sugaree, Minglewood, Jack-A-Roe, Black Throated Wind, Ramble On Rose, Masterpiece, Bird Song, Promised Land. First of two spins at the Zenith and a contestant for best show of the Europe 90 tour. Band locked in from the jump and oozing Saturday night energy. What a boost this tour got from Bruce's work. A local woman ended up at the hotel post show, piled us in her tiny red Peugeot at 4AM to get food at the one street that had open establishments at that time. L-I-V-I-N. Praise DSO.

78/01/11 Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, CA Minglewood, Dire Wolf, Looks Like Rain, TLEO, Big River>El Paso, Brown-Eyed Women, Let It Grow. Smoothly executed show delivered by our band at the nation's capital. Bob material stands out in a routine first, LLR silky, I could hear Big River every night, LIG end jam well built. Samson fine kickoff, Lisa got a big hand after Sunrise. Terrapin through Stephen dreamy-- the Playin' all it should be. Passenger a 1 of 1 in the encore slot. Easy Wind anchored the filler and was the highlight of the night. Spent the evening with loved friends and all the dance space I needed. Thanks DSO and crew. Praise DSO.

Monday's yard work session sponsored by 89/07/13 RFK. Take You Home hardly a favorite, but check out the surprisingly extended intro. Extra juice on display at the nation's capital. Praise DSO.

Patrons at the casino were locked in on CU/CSU. Bigger college football story than the recent demise of the A. Praise DSO.

Transfer portal. NIL. Things are different in college football. Just ask Deion.

Touch of Grey, Brother Esau, Might As Well, Playin' in the Band>Drums>Space>Women Are Smarter>China Doll>Playin' reprise> Sugar Magnolia. E: US Blues. last China Doll 81/07/10 [110] Second of three show benefit run at the Warfield. First shows that Grateful Dead had mail order for tickets. Last Grateful Dead shows at the Warfield. Opening three of the second caught my eye. #12 Touch, #5 Esau, the last second set Might As Well. I would imagine the tour heads of the day hoping for Cosmic Charlie were not pleased. Conjured thoughts of the Victim, Blow Away> Foolish letdown at Buckeye 1988. Over time my opinion of all three would drastically change. Praise DSO.

73/03/28 Springfield Civic Center, Springfield, MA Cumberland Blues, Here Comes Sunshine, Mexicali Blues, Wave That Flag, BIODTL, Loser, Jack Straw, Box of Rain, They Love Each Other, El Paso, Row Jimmy, Around and Around, Brown-Eyed Women, You Ain't Woman Enough, Looks Like Rain, China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider. Promised Land, Loose Lucy, Me and My Uncle, Don't Ease Me In, The Race Is On, Stella Blue, Big River, Mississippi Half Step, Weather Report Suite Prelude>Dark Star>Eyes of the World>Playin'. E: Johnny B. Goode For your approval, this colossal thirty song odyssey from East Coat Spring 1973. Only time Cumberland and HCS were ever attached. Seventeen song first has some thing for everyone punctuated by the closing China>Rider. Early second set merely a precursor to the otherworldly closing triad. The Star clocks in at a cool 32:08, going all the way out and back. A showpiece for the band in 1973 glory. Official release Dave's Picks 16. Praise DSO. https://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1973/03/28

I am thrilled that Way2Go and Wave2theWind have created such lively discussion. I cannot resist any musical notes played by Jerry Garcia regardless of the songs they are contained in. Fabulous post DD, funny how 30 years after the fact I find out we were both at the Cap Center that evening. Having Bruce on accordion for the second set probably assisted in on stage juice. Praise DSO.

93/03/25 Dean Smith Center, UNC, Chapel Hill, NC Touch of Grey>Greatest Story, So Many Roads, Minglewood, Lazy River Road, Mexicali Blues> Big River, Friend of the Devil, Eternity, Liberty. China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Women Are Smarter, Wave to the Wind>Terrapin Station> Drums>Space>Way to Go Home>Other One> Morning Dew. E: The Weight. Second of the pair at the Dean Dome. List riddled with new material, but I recall the music inspired. SMR, after some early second set work, mostly a first set number. Six of first ten Eternitys were attached to Liberty. Wave to the Wind preceded Terrapin 3 out of 21 total plays. Way to Go led us out of space seven times in 93 [4] and 94 [3]. End late song research. 10 song first, 5/3/1 second with a Dew-solid for 93. Much like Tea, I consider these shows among the best of my late vintage attendances. Praise DSO.

93/03/24 Dean Smith Center, UNC, Chapel Hill, NC Jack Straw, Stagger Lee, Wang Dang Doodle, Must Have Been the Roses, Memphis Blues, Tennessee Jed, Let It Grow. Here Comes Sunshine, Playin'>Box of Rain>Crazy Fingers>Playin'>Drums>Space>Spanish Steps> Goin Down the Road>Throwin' Stones>Not Fade Away. E: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Crazy Fingers fake before Box of Rain. First of two at Dead Dome in Spring 93, what a treat to see the band in an on campus facility in 1993. Solid playing throughout, the second set supplying a little extra juice, the post space even more so. The band could occasionally blow the doors off even in this late vintage. https://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1993/03/24?source=346055 Praise DSO.

Local Dead good for the soul. Several in my area to choose from. Have met many fine peeps. Praise DSO.

Monster twelve song first punctuated by a memorable 17 minute Bird Song. Interesting Jam into Drums, great location of Truckin'. Years later I took my CHEM 101 final exam in the stands. Counting down to Albany. Praise DSO.

Eagles 38 Chefs. 31 Should be a good one.
