  1. hey little one should have made it but that song could only be delivered by Jerry in his 20s, so the shelf life was prob a consideration in its sadly short life. No doubt the best of the early stuff.
  2. Gotta throw out the “holy fucksticks” on that set list. I mean damn, that is the goods!!

    Cincy night 1

They did the Layla coda in park city.
  4. If it is the same guy, he’s still at it. He was kind enough to drive me, sunny and rude to see Scotty and the pranksters Friday nite.
  5. This one rung my bell. From the stranger opening to the Jack a roe to a throw down with my boy BillK on blow away and Althea, Skip rippin the broken arrow, Esau and might as well blew out set 1. what can one say about a set 2 that opens with chinacat>Aiko>FGJ>Rider, and it blew up from there. Props to Kenny on the Bring it on Home!, to the Layla, Fantasy, to the Low Spark, to the Piece of my heart, which Lisa stole with the encore!! I don’t know what y’all have heard but this band is fucking killin it!!! 😅 Love, love, love what they do and how they do it!! can’t leave out a mention of Scotty (SML) for dishing out 2 killer after show gigs at the Cabin in Park City. Dude has chops and made a packed bar smile and dance!! more lifetime memories made, love ALL the people in them and the joy they give me! Thanks so much.
  6. Helluva show tonight!! Thanks band and crew for bringin it!!!! Awesome weather and killer crowd and venue. Only bummer was 100% slope dance space. That was the stuff birthday show dreams are made of. Thanks to a great group of folks, including DSO and crew that made it a weekend to remember. ps: my last birthday show was in 1988 and they played an 88 show (duh) and my second birthday show was in 2021 and they played a 77 show. Maybe my next one will be 2030 and I’ll get a 69!!
  8. Hate to hear that brother. Big bummer. Maybe things will ease by the end of Aug! Hope someone will take this room off of Vic’s hands. Guarantee it will come with good vibes cause I don’t know anybody who needed shows more than Vic.
  9. How do you not call out “do it in the road”.? What a set opener!! Hey, no one will be watchin us, ……
  10. Dude, the body of work that surrounds that HTH is unmatched by any show, combined with the absolutely surreal guitar work by Jerry and soul pillaging vocals from Pig. You can just keep your anti 4/29 rhetoric to yourself and then put it in your pipe and smoke it (cause eventually everything gets smoked). Most importantly brother, love you man!! ❤️❤️😂✌️
  11. Hell yeah, finally some hometown shows since moving to this area last year! And a birthday show to boot!! My last birthday show was 8-28-88, Eugene Oregon autzen stad, Grateful Dead, Robert cray band, jimmy cliff. Show was from 3pm to midnight, lol. I slept half the afternoon, haha. We were on no sleep from the Tacoma show 2 days earlier. ps: I’d like to request a recreation of 4-29-71 for Sat night…. Shocker huh?!?!?’

I would say the raving reviews are getting boring, but this band just brings it every show. If you can catch DSO for even one show, unless you’re a d-bag, the experience is going to be memorable. Louisville sets looked sweet. Wonder if the last show cut short for weather was the first jubilee in 2012? Looks like the band thoroughly made up for the short set Fri on Sat night. Giddy up!

    That’s my boy!!!!
  14. This was the first of 2 nights at the Roanoke civic center. My transmission took a shit on the side of the highway on the way to these shows. We hitched on to the shows and left the car. Glad we did. Both of these shows smoked! The crazy fingers from night 2 lingers in my mind as the best I saw. Went back to the gas station I left the car at a week or so later hoping to get about $500 for the car. After some hard core negotiations I accepted the gas station owners offer of $50. 😂😂😂😂
  15. Hey Bill, I lived on that big round domed mountain (Buffalo mnt) directly across the lake from the venue in Sliverthorne for a few years in the 80s and can confirm that amphitheater is about as epic a setting as you can find. Wish I had been there. Thanks for the report. So love all these killer musicians playing together again and having fun!!
  16. Looks just exactly perfect!!! Holy fucksticks.
  17. Oh, we gotta hit those bro! Book it Dan-O! Let’s drive! 😎😎

    It’s my right...😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
  19. Worth mentioning that if you were lucky enough to be in Frederick, MD 10/31/20 when they played 10/31/70, and then Cayce, SC 6/6/21 when they played 10/30/70 that completes the incredible 2 night stand at Pritchard Gym, SUNY with NRPS. What a special treat that there is only one way to get! Thanks DSO.

Good size group of backwoods rednecks who somehow found their way to the show.... the band is delicately noodling their way out of space into that gorgeous weather report suite and one of them yells out “Quit fuckin around and play some goddamn music. We been waitin long enough!!”. 🤣😂🤣😂
  21. The band reported this as the first time they’d recreated it. What a great night. I guess we were all so good Sat night, they pretty much dropped all security and safety protocols for Sun night. Pretty light crowd due to torrential rains earlier in the day and it being Sun night. Perfect set list right in the wheelhouse of my favorite era. Good sound, good video (stage was kinda dark and hard to see), pain in the ass to get beverages (thanks Mike!) my highlights were Cumberland and the pig songs, plus the cowboy songs, and most def the Stephen, fade sandwich. For you dancers show the point in the show where you can catch a breather. Haha, ain’t one. Thanks to the band crew and the smiling swirling angels that made my experience euphoric.
  22. Omit the truckin in the second set. I think....🤔😅🥴

Think we had a loose Lucy before BTW.
  25. I’ve got three words for the show... barefoot on grass!!! We tried to piece the list together but only got scrambled eggs. It was elective. What a ball. Light drizzle, all the dance space you could eat. Strange man encore was fucking stellar. Skip on fire and played percussion during space. Rob on acoustic for weather report. Eaton said they’ll do something tomorrow night they’ve never done.....🤔🤔
