Does Uber run out here? Where can we get muscle milk and sushi? We need to eat dinner by 4pm? What time is check-in? What time is check-out? What is the actual showtime? Is there Re-Entry? Where is the smoking section? Does the venue have a coat-check? Where's my ticket?

Love this quote: There’s no way to measure his greatness or magnitude as a person or as a player. I don’t think eulogizing will do him justice. He was that great – much more than a superb musician with an uncanny ear and dexterity. He is the very spirit personified of whatever is muddy river country at its core and screams up into the spheres. He really had no equal. To me he wasn’t only a musician and friend, he was more like a big brother who taught and showed me more than he’ll ever know. There are a lot of spaces and advances between the Carter family, Buddy Holly and, say, Ornette Coleman, a lot of universes, but he filled them all without being a member of any school. His playing was moody, awesome, sophisticated, hypnotic and subtle. There’s no way to convey the loss. It just digs down really deep. - Bob Dylan

It was a swift kick to the junk for sure...I wasn't surprised but I will still shocked if that makes any sense. It took me awhile to really enjoy other music since I couldn't connect to it like I wanted to - like I had. I accepted 'IT' was gone forever and then I found DSO - that was one holy crap moment!

https://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1990/07/21 By far one of the weirdest shows I ever saw - next-level weird. Thank god for that Scarlet > Fire. I was on the way to Pluto and that combo helped keep me from leaving the Milky Way. Tears of joy all the way through... Check out that Fantasy

I’m gonna see D+C in about a week. I so wish it was DSO on tap but I’m hoping for a better effort from D+C then how their tour has started. The local radio station says: “The Grateful Dead and Company - together again! Playing all their hits from the last 50 years! Don’t miss this groovy experience!” Oh brother.

No doubt. This was probably the last really good show I ever saw: http://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1993/9/13 So glad/lucky DSO is keeping the flame burning hot and bright

5/8 was one of the great shows in GD history - DUH! Not quite at the top of my list BUT it was soooo great to have such a high quality recording of a high quality show as I was cutting my teeth on this music. I was obsessed with Cornell and explored just about every nook and cranny of it. Very fond days of cranking up this show in the lot, on the beach, in the car, on my walkman - everywhere. It was many, many fans crown jewel tape of the GD!

Rude is the ambassador of fun! The judge decreed it

I liked the Stella Blue the most even though I hadn’t lived enough life to really get it. I remember being shocked about 2 things: The fact that the band members never moved from their spots and were not even slightly demonstrative. Weird. Second - It was BOTH their drummers birthday’s!!! What were the odds? Turns out those odds weren’t very good after all.

Today is the 30th anniversary of my first Grateful Dead show. http://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1988/4/11 I really didn’t quite understand the hype - it was like an inside joke that thousands were in on. I skipped school and went (was taken) on to Chicago. It was like nothing I’d even imagined - my DNA got changed and that was it. Like it was written in my soul.......❤️

Somebody spent way too much time lecturing me on how I should raise my children. Apparently raising principled boys of character and compassion wasn't good enough. Well here's how I see it:

http://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1970/1/30 Tom C’s final show. Easy Wind is phenomenal + a stout Other One. Band-members would be arrested by NOLA’s finest later that night. Set-up, like a bowlin pin...
