Going to see Widespread Panic first show of 3-nite run in Durham, NC. Last time I saw them boys was 1998 I think - so I suspect much has changed. The person who got me the ticket has seeing them for 25 years and still can't get enough. Give me the 411 on Panic. Anyone? Their fans are a hoot although after this video, you may have another word

Had a blast last night and Melvin + Co brought the goods! Yes - couple times. Cosmic Charlie has been playing really well over the last year or so. I caught this show a couple weeks ago and it was straight fire - really good time. Yeah - that was a little rough although Jerry would have a good swing south and a refreshing summer and fall. The silver lining of the cancelled show the night before was I randomly met Bobby + Phil (only time) and one epic party at the Holiday Inn - crazy times!

Man - life is indeed cruel at times. Just flat out sinister even..... I have to remind myself that I'm not owed anything for trying to be a good person. There is a tendency to think there's some kind of moral equivalence that if you do something nice for someone that they should do the same for you. It's stupid to think that way and it's your fault if you get upset because someone doesn't respond in-kind. Be yourself - do what you feel is right - and that's it - you'll be free.

We all just need to think about what we ALL have in common - not what divides us

That LIG is great - Phil bombs everywhere in that tune and the one at the end nearly broke my rib-cage. Foolish Heart is excellent and the best Women I’ve ever heard. The jam in there is worth a listen! Simply awesome guitar work. As lovelight was at the frenzy finish, a girl hopped up on stage, started spinning and then fell back into the crowd! I’m sure there’s video... Knockin had become pretty perfunctory - not this one. Jerry just goes next level. As it ends, the place is goin nuts and Jerry gets off a few waves before dissolving into the darkness of the stage.

A truly remarkable Saint of Circumstance to boot. While we didn't get the 'I guess it doesn't matter anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy' finish with the Dew, we were treated to an unexpected Box to close the set. God damn that McNichols run had the goods!
