  2. If you are over 40 and have time for multiple friends, let alone actually have 10 friends, god bless you, you probably do have time to go on tour, and I’m your biggest fan so go ahead and post the setlists
  3. The westies are sleeping on us.
  4. Yeah, that sucks. I should have known he was almost 70. I actually first saw him play with “Melvin Seals and the JGB” in July 1999, at Legend Valley. There was a High Times music festival. He had Judah gold on guitar for his touring band at that point, and they had released a live record. https://www.amazon.com/Welcome-Our-World-Members-Only/dp/B00000676L Merl Saunders was also at that show. Keep healthy, Melvin
  5. I feel guilty already for all those distasteful jokes I made about him working solely for ham sandwiches.
  6. Good to see you again! I think the size of the venue helps build the energy up for the audience and band which causes the music to spark extra good How old is Melvin these days?
  7. the 11/3/65 demo was on of the first tapes I ever received in a trade. I listen to it quite a bit. Can't Come Down would be awesome to see & hear
  8. It was a show that happened really quick. It was basically conceived and announced in 24 hour period Um, like the Steely Dan with dead overtones
  9. Grateful Sunday Presents: Friday Show The Fishtank, Lexington, KY, Friday, 2021-12-17 ~|~ Feel Like A Stranger Mama Tried> Mexicali Blues West LA Fadeaway Ya Mar (Phish) Loser Pretzel Logic (Steely Dan) Ramble On Rose* Jack Straw* Tough Mama (Dylan) Music Never Stopped* ~||~ Don’t Let Go* Peg (Steely Dan) Cumberland Blues* Rubin and Cherise* Viola Lee Blues* Tore Up* China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider* Run Run Rudolph ~~~~~~ Lee Owen, Guitar Brandon Bowlds, Guitar Rob Barnes, Bass Brad Slutskin, Keys Dino English, Drums *with Jenny Adkins on back up vocals This little show at the Fishtank in Lexington was one of the better shows I’ve seen in a year. Lee and Brandon traded rhythm and lead guitar on every song outdoing one another and raising the energy level higher and higher, while Rob Barnes and Dino kept the groove jumping with their bass and drums locked in. The Viola Lee Blues and Dont Let Go were serious highlights and had amazing jams in them. walked in thinking I’d have a couple drinks and a decent time, but the music was stunning.
  10. It was great to see you again, and it was a good show and a great crowd. See you soon!

This is a weird response. Take a deep breath rabbi
  12. Saw Dinosaur Jr again last night- my previous show was 2009. Great show. First time visit to Brooklyn Bowl (Nashville edition). I was always skeptical about bowling and shows, but it totally worked. I thought it was a fantastic venue. Most venues feel like a place that is designed with minimal thought to fans except to take their money, and at least at this one, you were deceived into thinking that someone designed it so music fans could enjoy themselves.
  13. Ran into Ammagamalin Crew last night at Born Cross Eyed show in Louisville. good to see you!
  14. They’ve definitely felt much more chatty on stage and robs definitely been higher energy this tour. I’ve appreciated both. See you all down the road!

Night number one I was having trouble catching my groove. Night number 2 was the complete opposite- stellar performance and the crowd energy was much higher. I was sitting next to the soundboard and had a wonderful evening and the notes were everything I needed. Love Eatons new Gibson…sounded fantastic
  16. I’m there for both nights now. Looking forward to it..
  17. I saw the Decemberists at this venue. Weirdly enough, it never works out that I can see DSO locally it seems, but I will be there Saturday.
  18. I had a great weekend and Saturday night show was great. For the Saturday show, I arrived back from graduation ceremonies in KY 10 minutes before DSO came on- perfect timing. I also pulled off another DSO event doing what I do best: hiding anonymously among a crowd avoiding anyone I might possibly ever know dancing to my hearts content. This was a much needed pick me up for a really weird dry spell and year.
  19. Sorry I missed you-its the first sunday I've missed since the comeback. I got my first cold in a year, and it laid me low
  20. Im thinking the folks complaining about dancing while masked didn’t read the jubilation info. There’s no mask requirement within the pod people purchase, just to and from. but...FB doesn’t always represent the our best and brightest
  21. It sucks that tour and many other events are cancelled for the next few weeks. It also sucks that my work trip to St. Pete got cancelled. I want all of us to be healthy, and I also want and hope that the weather warms up and perhaps it helps mitigate the virus and maybe by then, the Jubilee will be a chance for all of us to get back outside and together to celebrate life together. Stay healthy, friends
  22. Yes I've been checking every 5 minutes to see if the setlist was available.
  23. I can't wait to catch a "believe it or not"
  24. I forgot about that one. I was there! They wouldn’t let us out of the venue at set break- but awesome show, and awesome jam out of Terrapin
  25. I last saw Desolation Row by DSO in February 2012
