  2. May 13, 1983. Berkeley, California. Greek. First ever Helena; check out the China Cat intro, where Bobby has guitar troubles. Audience transferred by Senor Charlie Miller. Enjoy! https://archive.org/details/gd1983-05-13.fob.sonyecm220t.keshavan.miller.fix.94514.sbeok.flac16/gd83-05-13d1t02.flac

  4. C’mon!! Phoenix is lovely in July 🥵🤪
  5. Much love and respect to Brother Bill for honoring all unwritten codes and waiting until 12:03 to ensure that the “T” in TIGDH is maintained. What a fucking beast of a Deadhead you are, man. DD
  6. April 23, 1977. Springfield, Massachusetts. I love this show. It has a sort of laid back element to the approach compared to its cohort, but is obviously reelin and a rocking, given the tour/time. One of only nine shows with both Help/Slip/Frank and Scarlet/Fire. I also happen to love that little nugget waiting after Estimated Prophet. Perhaps you will, too. https://archive.org/details/gd1977-04-23.sbd.miller.88401.sbeok.flac16 Set 1 Sugaree Cassidy Loser New Minglewood Blues Ramble On Rose Me And My Uncle Row Jimmy It's All Over Now Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain Set 2 Estimated Prophet Bertha The Music Never Stopped Help On The Way -> Slipknot! -> Franklin's Tower -> Around And Around -> Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad -> Not Fade Away Encore One More Saturday Night
  7. sorry for lagging, Brother, was on vacation in California… I was, indeed. Well, at least present for these in body format 🧑‍🚀
  8. Yes, this year is DSO’s first time at Skull and Roses. Phil’s too. I think this is the 3rd year of the festival, possibly 4th.
  9. 1994, Miami. Set 1 . and here is a soundboard of your 1985 Spectrum show, Blair https://archive.org/details/gd85-04-06.sbd.miller.13467.sbeok.shnf
  10. Bill, your tour updates are the next best thing to being there! Appreciate you, as always. DD

  12. I’m fairly certain they’ll never play in Arizona again, ever. East Coast touring bias sucks balls.
  13. Bill, I celebrated your deadication to being at the Hampton shows with the use of the thumbs-up emoji, trivial as it may be. You’re a fucking beast of a tour rat, and Garcia knows it. DD

  15. The year got cut off in the above post — it’s 1978.
  16. As someone who pokes fun at Bobby and the horrific tempo that he chooses to play their music at now, let me add that he is tied for first for my favorite musician of all time with Jerry and Phil. Our favorite band does not exist without him. Part of my problem is I get so excited to see any version of the GD, which I include DSO into that population, and I know what the music can be. This amplifies my disappointment when it falls short of that. Bobby is a living legend and can do whatever the fuck he wants, in my view. But as a rabid fan I feel that, on a much smaller and completely insignificant scale, I have earned the right to give my opinion. The truth is that he plays it slower because it allows him to continue to play at all. He’s a beast still, no matter how crappy some of it sounds hahaha.
  17. Saw The Alligators and Universe Peoples last night. Both SoCal bands. The Alligators will be the house band at Skull and Roses Festival. They were a lot of fun. Front man is part Belushi, part Pigpen. I’m surprised he didn’t whip his member out at some point haha. Quite gregarious. Occasionally bangs the gong at the back of the stage. They did some Katie Mae lyrics over Minglewood Blues, which was surprisingly good. Their whole set was surprisingly good and a lot of fun. Lead guitarist was damn good. Yes, they played Alligator. Fun stuff. Universe Peoples had some good things, but didn’t gel for us so we bailed after a few tunes.
  18. Nope. Bobby sang all of the songs he was present for. And he apparently also requested that they play everything Dead and Slow style. Videos embedded in the story linked below. https://www.jambase.com/article/bob-weir-dark-star-orchestra-san-francisco
  19. Dharmada, did they play the songs that Bobby contributed to at the normal tempo, or were the altered at all? Thanks, and and thanks for all the lists and updates during your 4-run! We’ve enjoyed it! DD
  20. PGA Tour, meet the modern-day hipsters.

    SLO 2/2/22

    That second set!!
  22. List makes me wonder why High Time didn’t take occupy the post Drums Jerry ballad slot more often, and instead became a first set tune? I mean, other than “Jerry said so”. 😝
  23. The only Intel I have is they’re NOT coming to Arizona, which obviously sucks balls. Will they ever return to AZ?!? Great OP though, AC. Hope we get some action round here. Someone should promote this site at the shows. We’d get new members that way.
  24. I forgot Tangled Up In Blue, which was before the Sis and Bros. Not that anyone cares, but I’d like the Internet to be accurate 😎
  25. JGB in Tempe last night. Two sets with John playing guitar is always good for the soul. He remains absolutely incredible. Melvin on the B3 makes for smiles all around. Rhythm section is solid. Sad that Melvin can barely get up from the bench after the show. His walking is labored to say the least. Set 1 Let’s Spend the Night Together Catfish John Money Honey Mystery Train What a Wonderful World (Sam Cooke) That’s What Love Will Make You Do New Speedway Boogie Jam Midnight Hour Set 2 Strugglin Man Cats Down Under Stars I’ll Take a Melody Feel Like Dynamite (smoking hot) Tangled Up in Blue Sisters and Brothers Deal
