We do take a small reprieve from RV life coming up. Mother in law visits Colorado to see James Taylor and then we go to Hawaii (Kauai) for 6 days. Before doing Grand Canyon, Albuquerque, El Paso, Austin area, Gulf Shores Alabama, Fort Myers Beach, and then up to Ocean City for a few weeks of a family visit. Gonna catch some DSO shows around then. Then we hit the 4848 festival. Visit friends in Ohio. Hopefully, gratefulfest then out to California for dead60 (stop in Vegas on the way) then up coast of California into Oregon. Head home. Go visit Costa Rica to look at properties before the school year begins.

I didn’t get an invite either. But I think my box set has arrived. I’m debating on but will probably start a summer journey journal on here. Whitney and I are traveling all summer in RV this year. We just did 5 nights at giant city state park in southern Illinois. A good buddy got married Saturday. We head to a jellystone campground next for a little water park fun with the kiddos. Some bitter sweetness there we didn’t know about sages and spirits until we had already booked and told kids we was going to jellystone so we will miss some great music at the Mishawaka here. But it’s all worth it. We seeing lots of music. Lots of nature and lots of friend this summer.

It pains me to miss this show it pains me more to miss Vince and Sue

We were late and I couldn’t tell you the songs that well anyway but Jake played guitar and did an awfully fantastic rendition of Tom thumbs on vocals. Lots of Colorado’s music family showed up to support him and even Jay Lane made it out. It was a fun night for sure.

Funny when I read all gone 3 weeks later I thought you guys was being stupid cause he doesn’t die until 73 but like usual you guys no better than me I get it now last show not when he leaves us.

The shakedown was epic

I have successfully made it to Indianapolis in my RVs maiden voyage. Family flies in late tonight then drive towards buckeye lake. Sleep at a Walmart for a bit. We need some last minute supplies. Also will need a market. I do not due meat from Walmart. Then get in line for Jubilee. Just a heads up. Skip plays in the New Gypsy Cowboys and they open the weekend off at 345 Friday. I’m gonna try to make it down there for the set.

The camping trip plus jgb axial tilt plus the first two day openers ( big on lady’s list) are the real draw we will be coming off 5/6 mid July Dso shows. After the early August trip we going to look at properties in Costa Rica Jamaica maybe even El Salvador

We may do this. We traveling in RV most of summer. Head up northern coast of California into Oregon after.

I love that plan. Execute it. I will try to work the crowd and spread some energy. I hope to identify someone I didn’t see on Friday night bringing the heat and spreading the joy on Saturday night. I met someone from this forums at a small show in Colorado some how and I think I did have the kids with me and it well known I have kids. In fact, Delilah seen more shows than a lot of people that claim to be starheads or big fabs of Dso. I have her at a 100 plus shows over 6 years. And I will admit I may be slightly exaggerating by I will say for sure she’s seen 60 plus shows over 6 years. But dude comes up to me and says your masons child right. And I can’t say for sure if I changed name to Tom banjo yet. But he knew who I was and I didn’t really know how. Good dude by the way haven’t seen him post much on here lately but I seen him all over. I think I may be a little too much for him but he shows love and positive energy and feels. And I will always identify with mason. I almost introduced myself to some heads vending at the Ardmore as mason. I don’t really want to get to know people anymore. I can be standoffish. Overtly untrusting. And sometimes just a complete ass hole. At the very least dismissive. I have a triangle of trust. I trust Whitney I trust my best man, Bryan peterman. He isn’t into the dead btw but his step dad saw many shows and came to a few dso shows with me. He’s the one that committed suicide on my birthday and I broke down to on the streets of Birmingham for. Triangle of trust isn’t gonna be come a rectangle and certainly not a circle. i hope friends know some of that is tongue and cheek. There are others I trust and have big friendships with but those are the only two I’d share all the facts and bear myself too. I have a few that border on that territory. Please hope I mean to insult no one here. Just trying to make it clear I’m not trying to find new people in life. I however do want to keep the door just as slightly as ajar as possible. You never know where you might get shown the light. I’d love to get to meet you. Btw I gave my real name to Josh outside the Ardmore. And during the last set of music I think Whitney and I really showed what we are and what we mean on the dance floor. It felt good to have one person stop me and say I like your move and another and this one is probably unhealthy feeding my ego but he straight told me what you just did was art. In Jamaica where Whitney and I dance together more than anywhere else really because we have space we had several people tell us we were an inspiration we made their night they loved watching us. I have an unhealthy ego and maybe shouldn’t here people compliment me or us like that but I want you to know that this music and it’s message mean quite a bit to me and it is my goal on any given night to absorb the music and let it flow through and move me in a way that allows my movement to move others. If even for a second my spirit and energy helps another enjoy their night more or connect them more to the music it means the world to me. It will be easier for us to find each other if you come to the crowds front left stage right. A little beyond the stage all the way to the rail. When it’s still light out during the first set when we have the kids with us we will almost 100 percent be there. I will be looking for someone who inspires me. I make a point of letting those that inspire me know. I love it when a dancer catches my eye and breaks me out of my own trance. It’s not quite as fulfilling as getting totally lost in the music yourself but it’s a tremendous feeling to experience joy passion love even pain and suffering through the way someone expresses themselves through the music of the GD. Many many people have given me this inexplicable and invaluable gift. It often helps me get myself totally lost absorbed and connected to the music complete ego death escaping oneself to the complete acceptance and expression of true emotion and the beauty of what it means to be human, totally self aware but not in anyway self righteous. From the high road to the low so many roads I know. I am so incredibly blissed I have found this music and have allowed others passion inspire me. If you can’t tell I am really excited for Jubilee. Really excited to see so many friendly and familiar faces. Overjoyed to spend time amongst people with a shared love for this music. I hope to inspire and to be inspired. I have no doubt with Dso inspirationally playing this inspirational music that many will inspire me and maybe with luck I will inspire one. It’s gonna be an amazing time. love is real

The whole reason we went to Philadelphia was for Dupree diamond 3 and like we always are we were late and missed it had to tell skip when I saw him we missed it.

Penns peak has a legit shakedown but it can pop anywhere and many venders show up here and there at Dso and create mini shakedown. These are do dead and co even phish and panic to make there living but love Dso and you might get 3 or 4 venders but they legit heads and I support them every time. Just saw smoke for the first time in at least 5 years probably longer. Bought some wares from him for sure. Also left my debit card at his set up. Got it back the next night. Trust dude through and through and I did way before leaving my debit card. Whitney made sure to buy stuff from all vendors including a jar of cauliflower from a vendor knowing we couldn’t bring it home on the airplane. I also scored a sweet not fade away welcome mat from another vendor. Some of you know not fade away was/is a common sign off of mine on posts. Cafe Istanbul where we had our private event and axial tilt played as well as jgb during jazz fest had a a pretty legit shakedown. Balloons and all. It was missing the bacon chicken ranch. Can’t wait to see you guys at the jubilee. Never stop never stop.

I’m not gonna lie I hope the sit in happens but I also hope this doesn’t happen. I’ll put a 100 on Dso with Warren playing low spark Sunday night. Any takers?

We caught some of the Ardmore stuff. It was great to be back at brownies. I bought a sweat shirts. Whitney and I definitely represented to the last band on the 2nd night. Felt good to get dance practice again. They don’t really post here anymore but they will get the joke. Place has changed much more a commercial venue then the dive bar that splintered played on the thursdays nights. Back door a few songs into the show and you could walk in the back door and dance for free.

Love that photo. I look like such a boy. No beard. Even the silver fox doesn’t have that much silver going yet. Never forget those days at the quarry. Some of the best times of my life.

We would loved if you could’ve made it Rude. I know we’ve had our differences Whitney, you and I but you was a big part of our story when we got together here in New Orleans. Provided me with much needed financial support and gave her a ride back to her neck of the woods. I am forever grateful to you. I love you brother can’t wait to see you down the road.

And btw i nailed the set list correct order all songs.

So there are 3 more rooms at this resort than the last place. However the last place all the rooms were 2 people only rooms. This place has several accommodations that can hold 4 or even 6 people. I don’t know what they will decide to do with the bigger rooms and max accompany but I expect groups of at least 4 maybe 6 to be able to book rooms together. This place allows kids during normal operations so I will have to see how that plays out. We won’t be bringing our kids to stay at the resort either way although have considered bringing grandma to Jamaica along with the kids to a different resort. New place has a water park would def water park it up with my kids during the day if an option. I got sidetracked there though I think the 6 person occupancy rooms assume you putting some kids on a pull out couch. Funny thing is a few times recently the kids have managed to steal the comfy bed in the hotel and I’ve ended up on the pull out couch.

I love the set lists. I provided the band with a framework and songs I’d like to hear but also that I wanted some of their own choices input. Two souls was a must play. World to give encore was definitely a big want plus the help slip franklin opener. They definitely added some more love bird selections. Standing on the moon and broken arrow was all them. Looking back maybe I should have asked for a shining star but everything was just exactly perfect really. Two souls really captures where I was when Whitney saved my soul saved my life brought back purpose and meaning to my life. I am forever grateful for that. So glad I got to fly on the wings of love one more times. Without love in the dream it will never come true
