jambandmusic Posted July 16, 2025 Report Posted July 16, 2025 After stumbling thru the first 2 songs, they jammed forward for a real good time... Venue sucks for sound and you have to be front and center to get the stage speakers. Quote

Steve Reynolds Posted July 16, 2025 Report Posted July 16, 2025 (edited) Sounded great front left & right. Moved to the Skip side 3 people back for the second set. Top 5 to 10 DSO show for me. I’ve been to over 35 since Covid. Best non Dead NFA ever. Amazing Scarlet>Fire. LL>Supplication & Row Jimmy highlights from the first set. and I despise the Travis Bean. Sounded good last night for what it is. Jeff sounds better with the Tiger style guitar. Rob was especially good last night. Edited July 16, 2025 by Steve Reynolds Quote
Billy DeLyon Posted July 16, 2025 Report Posted July 16, 2025 (edited) Barton Hall - May 8, 1977 General Admission: $7.50 Set 1 New Minglewood Blues Loser El Paso They Love Each Other Jack Straw Deal Lazy Lightnin' Supplication Brown Eyed Women Mama Tried Row Jimmy Dancin' in the Streets Set 2 Scarlet Begonias Fire on the Mountain Estimated Prophet St. Stephen Not Fade Away St. Stephen Morning Dew One More Saturday Night Filler: Ripple Woke up yesterday with a weird feeling that DSO was gonna do something special at the base of some stacked steel in the little town of Bethlehem, PA. I wasn't prepared for what they layed down. The joint was jumping, packed in like sardines on the floor. First set highlights for me were Jack Straw, Supplication, & Dancin'. Reality didn't set in until set break when I realized what we were witnessing and what the 2nd set was going to be like. DSO didn't disappoint brining the thunder in the 2nd set. They opened a portal that brought the spirits of Jerry, Phil, and Keith on to the stage where they collectively all had grins and nodded in approval. I don't think there are 7 other people on the planet who could have pulled off what happened in that second set (sans a couple drummers who could have sat in) and it only took them 3,343 shows to get dialed in. Truly a special night. Any time you get the chance to see DSO on a weekday in Pennsylvania don't waste the opportunity.
