Forum MVP PoetryGirl Posted December 27, 2025 Forum MVP Report Posted December 27, 2025 It is with a heavy heart I share the death of Brian. One of the most joyous, loving, hearty people I have ever met. Your smile is emblazoned in my mind when I think of you, Brian. You painted life with bright, bold strokes. And to dance with you brought so much infectious energy and joy! Thank you for being you! Your bright spirit is not diminished but soaring. He defied gravity here on earth and wow, defied belief with the story of meeting the whale calf! What a trippy dude. 🫶💗 Gone From My Sight I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone." Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me -- not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!" And that is dying... Forum MVP 2muchfun Posted December 28, 2025 Forum MVP Report Posted December 28, 2025 If you have seen lots of DSO shows over the years it would be difficult not to have run into Brian. I wasn’t very close to him but have still shed a tear. RIP 1 Quote
Forum MVP Island Bro Posted December 28, 2025 Forum MVP Report Posted December 28, 2025 Soooo many lifetimes you’ve lived in this one life, Brian…. so many crystal clear glimpses you’ve caught of the fountain that was not made by the hands of men… may you now swim freely with your whale friends all of the time… no dance floor will ever feel quite the same without your physical presence but the gift you’ve left joyfully uplifted all of those who were around you… 🙏🏼 1 Quote
Forum MVP BillK522 Posted December 28, 2025 Forum MVP Report Posted December 28, 2025 An absolute force on the dance floor, privileged to share space with him on a number of occasions, and discuss Cedar Point rollercoasters after the show. Rest easy friend. Quote
Forum MVP Masons Child Posted January 11 Forum MVP Report Posted January 11 I remember Brian spending a little time at a place I lived on lookout mountain in Colorado. Despite it being near freezing in temperature, he found himself a nice sunny spot to layout on the mountain side shirtless. His spirit and light burned so brightly and full of warmth he wasn’t cold at all. Just forever smiling. It was a joy to know him. Whenever you found yourself in his presence, his joy was contagious you could not help but smile smile smile. Quote
