A 2nd set Bertha>good lovin. Did the dead ever do that 2nd set?
Before my first Dark Star…1/10/79 as I temember

You can add Good Morning Little School Girl to first set as they played the entire “self titled” first album.
The reaction to Tea coming to his first Hyryder was surreal.
He must have requested “60’s”…and got it.

Playing the Greek will be another band bucket list to scratch off.

Been on this board since 2005 and am grateful for Ron for providing its pulse.
Many fun times and acquaintances started here.- 4

Tony Romo career playoff record…. 2 and 4
Dak Prescott career playoff record before yesterday…2 and 4
We now may have a new most overrated QB in NFL

10 DSO a year has become my goal sprinkled with some Hyryder and Born Cross Eyed. Certainly been blessed but 17 GD years followed by 24 years of DSO so far does take its toll. Even 5 shows on a single tour seems highly unlikely. That being said, hope to see many familiar faces later on down the river Friday night.

I will be at moonrise as the convenience too compelling. Got good deal at trip.com. Stayed there most Pageant shows and have no complaints.
Lounge was better with sofas, miss Pi across street, but good noodles down the street.

If you like your GD not frenetic, not whimsical, but "authentic"...then there's nothing like a DSO show.

Having been born and raised in New York City but spending the last few decades in the land of corn and soybeans I have the following observations:
The rural vs urban divide is just as if not more so the source of the destructive polarization going on.
Does anybody where I currently live give a rats ass about the NYC subway system? Yet I explain to the indigenous population that my parents never had a drivers license. Their livelihoods and my upbringing depended on the mass transit system.
When I was growing up,I thought that corn grew in the A&P cause there was always plenty there. There was and is little appreciation of the agribusiness it requires in fly over country to feed the city folk.
So IMHO I believe it best to live in the sticks and visit the city.
Especially true if raising kids.
I have seen just as many GD shows in Alpine Valley as MSG. I loved both for different reasons.
Over the past 20+ years and hundreds of DSO shows, in the aggregate, I have no issue with what their tour schedule offered regarding location.Sometimes the light shines on me, other times…

The forecast temp keeps going up. Set up day on Friday can be rough in the heat, but after that it’s gravy. We mostly just go naked with no sunscreen like they did in Venetta in 72.

I’ll take heat all day over that jubilee. That sucked. No one even bothered with camp fires it was so cold. Jump in your sleeping bag and shiver lol.

Do yourself a favor
Looks nearly perfect…Dry and about 80 by day and 50’s by night.
To me the funny thing is there is so much uncertainty a couple of weeks from the day….but for sure 100 years from now it will be 2.8 degrees C warmer.
The scientific term for that would be “poppycock”!- 2

The only Phish songs I have listened to in entirety are covers performed by my favorite local/ band JEB.
Trey at Dead 50 cemented my disinterest. Saw a great t-shirt there…
”Don’t Trey to suck”
I am of the ilk that believe Phish heads had much to do with the deterioration of the GD scene in the 90’s.
Have been to dozens of WSP…even got to see Houser several times.

I also miscomprehended….duh….I am all confused.
Didnt see first Palladium Fire but yes for second….the Comes a Time eclipsed it…if that’s even possible in retrospect.

It was being played when I first saw Dead early 5/77 but not my first show.
Perhaps other show of 4 night palladium run.

Filler: Sisters and Brothers
Quite the dance party. Band was obviously digging it.
Skip had floor ringing as well as his bass during Dark Star providing feedback jovially shoving it in front of his stack.
Stellar two nights in Vermont.

Dancing in space from rail to first row and aisles not challenged which personally enhances my experience.
Show dedicated to Phil’s 83…tomorrow’s show will be completely different, or not! Per Barraco
