  2. This thread is terrible, the band got sick bottom line. Let them heal and get better just like everyone else.  Most of the world at this point has gotten sick and/or vaccinated. Everyone needs to chill it’s so pathetic at this point. Telling the band to cancel shows and bringing up Communism? Goebbels?? Just stop That’s fucking ridiculous.  Just  shut up and let this shit pass so we can get back to seeing the band.

    please watch 😂😂

they made a interesting point on tales from the golden road on SiriusXM. Deadheads hold Jerry near their hearts and are very hard to satisfy when it comes to Jerry related things.  Kind of Like when John Mayer started. So Jonah Hill as first is probably not anyone’s first choice. And as long as it’s not a junkie documentary (words they used) it should be pretty good.
Is a he a fan? Who knows his extent of love for dead music. He’s pretty fucking funny and played some good roles. So all we can do is hope it’s not a shitty portrayal of Jerry and a good depiction of him and the band.  Val Kilmer played a mean Jim though. Either way who gives a fuck I’m happy DSO is back on the road

  4. It was fun to wait to hear your favorite song on the radio and hit record on a cassette. You  either caught bits and pieces of it or the radio disc jockey talking for 30 seconds before the song even came on and sometimes your jam wasn’t up next and you had to wait by the radio. My Walkman was always with me

Manhattan always had cool little tape places all over the city, if radio shack, Sam goody or tower records didn’t have it.
I have memories of older kids who put me on to the dead having tapes from trading, they would play in their cars or at parties And that’s where it all began for me…but for me from the 80s I remembering buying Guns and roses-appetite for destruction, some motley crew, beastie boys and I think def leapord. Cool times.

I had alotta of music on cassette but now I take huge pride in my Dicks and Dave’s picks, road trips and  All the box sets and special releases that have come out on CD for the dead, It’s def my little hobby. We got slammed with water here in NYC with hurricane ida 2 weeks ago, my basement  got flooded really bad but you bet your ass my first priority was getting my bins of music to safe dry ground! Even my girl knew that was of major importance to get upstairs first.

I need a fall east coast DSO tour…badly

New York is never in my plans. It sort of intimidates me with the thought of driving plus everything costs so much. It would be nice to see Vic up in

Ticketmaster just sent out a message that noone will be admitted without official papers proving full vaccination for the upcoming Dead and Co. No refunds being offered for those who havent or cant get it done before the 9/11 cincy show. On top of that there will be no tailgating day of show. They got cops on bikes who patrol the lots and write tickets. Complete opposite of the best shakedown street ive ever experienced this past weekend with the 3 Phish shows at Deercreek. Security openly said they are not going to hassle anyone and that is exactly how it was. I'd day there was a 1/2 mile of booths set up vending.

Where does it say no tailgating? And the whole cops thing. The one at citi field just says either be fully vaccinated or have proof your negative as of 48 hours before show. I’m assuming those are cincy/Ticketmaster rules? I haven’t seen any of that for the jungle NY I call home .

Hate to hear that brother. Big bummer. Maybe things will ease by the end of Aug!

Hope someone will take this room off of Vic’s hands. Guarantee it will come with good vibes cause I don’t know anybody who needed shows more than Vic.

  8. I have a hotel down the road from the festival. The name is michael dees motel. Due to this miserable covid my job is keeping me on call, so I can’t come up for the weekend.  The hotel is for two nights dso plays. (Friday and Saturday) and was $350. I booked it through booking.com and there’s no cancellation refund. If anyone needs a place to stay I will take 300 or anything you feel is reasonable. Anyone can message me for details
