NEver been to the venue/town before, need help with the following: 1. Getting there? Is tere public transport option or just rent a car? 2. Hotels w/in walking distance? Where is a good spot to stay w/in walking distance of the venue? Where have ppl stayed before that was good? Thanks for reading and thanks all! You will probably have to resort to renting a car. As for accomodations, it is a true beach town so there are numerous hotels and rentals. They are all within walking distance. In fact, I strongly recommend that you do not drive in town after the show. The cop car lights are like Christmas lights blinking up and down the main drag and side streets as people are being pulled. Very pretty to look at, but don't touch. My only other caveat is that these shows are over Memorial Day weekend, so book your room early. I generally have stayed at the Ashworth over the years, but a brief search will turn up plenty of others. Again, there are lots of rentals, but since it is a holiday weekend some places may want a three-day minimum. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Lisacat Posted March 22, 2010 Report Share Posted March 22, 2010 LOVE the venue. My favorite regularly-played venue on the east coast by far. Nice wide dancing room with lots of room on either side of the stage, walking distance to hotels, and right on the boardwalk! Last year we rented a condo- but because its Memorial day weekend most condos have 3 day minimums. Ashworth has rooms at decent rates available and now no minimum stay. I'd book soon though.
