And the Black Friday 180g vinyl relase is just wicked cool. Interesting that Mounatin Girl just randomly returned some tapes. I was not aware of the release, or the black Friday only thing, and passed. I see it's now on eBay for ~80 and up. Gonna scour local record shops to see if there are any extras. I haven't made it to the Pigpen solo side yet. The liner notes suggest Jerry was sufficiently intrigued by the performance that he brought the tapes home to listen to them and they were never returned. I'm gonna go along with that speculation; it makes for a good story. I get 20% at my (amazing) local record shop, so at $32 net I had an easy choice vs. the CD from dead.net for $17.
