  1. I'll let you know the turn out. This is probably a pretty big place but often the way the band gets paid there is a set dollar amount. The promoter assumes the risk. Would I like more notice. Of course I would. I have two kids Rude. I get the struggles with travel and child care. Child care for jubilee was a struggle this year and Whitney doesn't want to deal with kids during the DSO show. And I can't say I really feel differently. During the day, no problem. During the party not my jam. So Whitney's mom committed to coming a long ways back. She then realized she had her nieces, plural, graduations that weekend. She backed out on us. Then Whitney had a friend commit to coming and baby sit for the ticket food and some dollars. They backed out. I'm now flying one of my go to babysitters here in Colorado out to the festival with us. He likes the Dead and music. He's coincidentally more into Phish. I'm m not questioning the way you do things. I may even pop up at one of those panic shows. I have a good buddy from California coming out. I said I'd go for free or cheap ticket. Red rocks won't be easy on that front but he's an old school head with lots of music connections. It may work out. Panic always good for that whiskey and blow party. Back to the financials, DSO gets their nut in the Northeast. Saturday night at the cap will sell out. Friday night could too. Penns peak will sell out. The festival gigs also pay well which they are getting quite a bit of. Definitely more notice would be great but man this is going to be an experience. Not just for us but for them. Playing at 8000 feet with a view of the Tetons. I'm sorry it's not in your cards. I love you buddy. Would love to see you there. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the jubilee. Always wish more forum folk make it out. It's always gonna be for the music for me but I don't want to under value the joy that this community brings me. I recently ran into 2 different people that it had been over 5 years since I saw them. I love that the music always brings is back together. By the way lots of notice on Jamaica. Save the date Jan 9th through 13th. I don't know how long you staying in Colorado during the panic run and I'm sure you don't need a place to stay although the offer is there I hope you know that. I live about 45 minutes from red rocks. I would definitely love it if you came out to the house one afternoon. Love is real
  2. I'd sell my gorge tickets. I base my summer plans around DSO. I feel you earlier notice would be nice and preferable but I just don't make hard plans until I know what DSO is doing. I get others live and do it differently. Bailing on the John Mayer at the gorge would be an easy call. Jackson hole DSO is no brainer. Gondola to the show. 8000 feet with a view of the Tetons. I might stay up that way for a week.
  3. We booked a cabin in Jackson hole for those dates.
  4. Finally booked hotel, bought tickets, purchased flights. We have baby sitter coming with us for the shows at night.
  5. April 29th is up there as a desert island show for sure.
  6. October 15th 1976 Started off pretty mellow. They were dealing with issues with their monitors. They early song selection although screaming 76. Called that on the first song. By the it's all over now, I was feeling October 76. I like June and July 76 setlists more and I am more familiar them.
  7. Hyryder delivered. I think I may return to Grateful fest but once again DSO clearly leagues better than the rest.
  8. Super pumped for tonight
  9. Wednesday night sages and spirits is going to be special fyi
  10. I would definitely expect more shows. They've been rolling out slowly.
  11. I'd sell my panic tickets and head to North Carolina.
  12. Some new dates have popped up. Where you at Tea. We in for Asheville and of course Colorado.
  13. How bout getting our Rob B or Melvin on keys for a night.
  14. Is it wrong I feel like Phil owes us a better 2nd guitar player then his son at a festival that costs this much. Especially with all the talent there, JK could be playing with them. Stu. Mattson. Eaton. Etc
  15. First set dancing had to be nice. There's that over played white rabbit again.
  16. Rob B knows they only supposed to play throwaways at the end of the show. That way if I leave after Jerry ballad it's no big deal. Can't be doing I'll take a melody. Haha I too love this band.
  17. Damn I'll take a melody. Whitney and I checked out at the end which I do sometimes when I'm feeling the urge to go. They make me regret it again haha.
  18. 10/15/77
  19. Go put your finger in the air. A ticket will appear.
  20. I think he may have been letting other detractors know keep yo mouth shut. He knows they playing it out. They did it to the white rabbit too. Sometimes a song should stay a rarity and they enjoy it so much they just keep playing it until those that see a lot of shows feel like it's just another US Blues.

You can't make that call at the end of the game. Makes football look fixed. But congrats to the chiefs they played a hell of a 2nd half.

  23. I lied. We will be doing red bank through Hartford. East Coast giddy up.
  24. I think this was my first time hearing valley road. Maybe a Hornsby sit in coming at jubilee?
  25. Wow. What an experience. This place was packed. I mean packed. Sold out. Stretched guest lists. The guest had guest. Some people must have snuck in. I mean butts to nuts times 10. We arrived late and spotted a friend from the East Coast up in balcony. We quickly decided to join him. The effort it took to get across the venue floor and to the stairs to the balcony was trying to say the least. I don't like being touched. I don't like being bumped into. I don't smash dance or bump and grind. The stairs weren't any better. Either was the balcony first set really. This was the kind of experience I've admittedly walked away from. I always stay to the Jerry ballad but I was pretty sure I'd be leaving at that point. So glad I stuck around. We ended up dancing right in front of merch for awhile. This spaced really wasn't much better. Some people are amazingly fucking rude. I nearly got shoved over several times into the merchandise. But at this point the music really started to win me over. I found some movement and space during Jack straw. I started to really express myself during Stella. I was becoming one with the music. Slowly letting distraction and irritation slip away. Truckin other one was good but I kind of lost the space to move but continued just feeling the music. Boom eyes. Wake up to find out. I moved back over to Jordan neck of the balcony. I told him we gonna space it out. And that's just what we did. The eyes through China doll was a complete release. That magical feeling we seek when we go to a show. The rest of the show was good too but the China doll was the peak. It was the moment. love is real
