No way SEC gets two teams this year. Bama will lose again. They barely beat A and M and Texas.
-
USC is likely out of the playoff picture.
-
Tennessee gets it done. They for real. Bama not so much. Love watching Saban lose.
-
Well Bama dropped to 3. Georgia back to one. Ohio St getting some respect. USC dropped a spot. That confuses me. Clemson jumped Michigan to 4. Given their schedule I might have them ahead of Alabama right now. Wins over number 10 and 21. Bama has one ranked win and several narrow escapes including this week to A and M. They don't hurt the Texas QB they probably lose that one. Ewers can toss the rock. Don't get me wrong Alabama has games coming up where they push themselves back up to number 1. Tennessee is benefiting from SEC bias. They have beat some rank teams but all of those teams have proven a bit suspect. Tennessee still has Alabama and Georgia remaining we shall see how good they are after those games. They need to win at least one or their ranked too high.

Looks like Kentucky may have been a little overrated and I don't see how Alabama can hold on to number one ranking after this week but Saban like a the little weasel he is escaped another one. Ohio State Clemson USC deserve some more respect.

Lots of high ranked teams going down week 2. This could be an interesting year for college football.

What a lucky and dirty ass win by Alabama. They don't intentionally hurt Ewers and they lose that game. You know it I know it everybody know it. Should be a new number one next week.

The bluebird. So the first time I saw DSO there and it may have been only time although I think I did make it back once or twice after that but Frank and I were on DSO tour. We pull into town and show says it 21 and over. I'm 21. Frank well he just 20. I head to a bar across the street from the venue with a friend. Frank he heads into the venues bathroom. He proceeds to spend 4 hours in a bathroom stall. The lights go down in the venue and Frank emerges from the bathroom. Makes it through the whole show no problem. Man I'm getting old. What fun we had.

Mostly I put this on cause grateful shred played viola lee blues and even with 3 guitar players and a lot of fancy synthesizers couldn't even scratch what the Dead do to close this show.
-
Went to Boulder tonight to see Grateful Shred. The gets a little too synthesizer for me but put on a damn good show. The first set was a little short and the crowd although attentive seemed extremely stiff. Almost like we were the only ones dancing, definitely the only ones dancing in 360 degree manner. We eventually saw one other dancer. The crowd really came around 2nd set. By the shakedown encore it was a full on boogie down. Not 100 percent but I think we will go see them in Denver tomorrow night.

It's still a few days away but listening to 5/2/70 complete with the new riders set tonight. Epic stuff.

I'm gonna give that 4/23/77 a spin today. Scarlett fire. HSF. Looks great on paper.

We caught the first set of Shakedown st with Stu Allen tonight. Quality music although Stu played respectful with their Jerry guy and I feel could've stood out more if he chose. The crowd kind of sucked. Lots of standing and talking. At one point, we found a decent spot behind the soundboard but of course that's in the vicinity of the ping pong table. After one song, two people decided it was time to play ping pong. We had to move. Sometimes the Denver dead scene disappoints me but of course I'm that overly critical dead fan that wants the crowd to be quiet and dancing while the band plays. At the very least, quiet and listening to the show. You know, engaged in the music. It's often more of a social hour at so many roads. Of course, we will be back. They get some good dead acts to come through. JGB pretty frequently. I had two strong thoughts after. I want a bob weir stfu shirt and I miss the old DSO days when I first got into this music when at least it seemed to me more people went to these shows to listen then to be seen and be heard. I love my DSO family. They bring the heat and taught me to respect the music. I doubt we resurrect the rugs but the rug people brought it every night at the jubilee. We had some epic dance parties. It was special to be apart of it. Can't wait for May. We catching the Caverns and Memphis plus Jubilee. It's going to be a great month of music. Thank you so much DSO for enriching my life and bringing me that ultimate joy. So much love for this band and this community. I miss you guys and love you.

No one is saying the SEC champ doesn't deserve to be in or even number one. I'd even fight for Georgia to be the number 4 team if they played Bama close. You know a 24 to 21 game. A game like auburn played. Georgia got handled start to finish.
-
Ya Georgia let us all down. 2 SEC teams again. CFP is getting boring in its current format. Just crown SEC champ national champ. If you not in SEC you have to do more to get in. It's almost feels like intentional corruption. Keep league special. Georgia through that game. Bama couldn't score against Auburn. This amazing QB couldn't get it done against Auburn then he smokes Georgia. Let's do best of 3 from the top of SEC.

In a tremendous stroke of irony, I was given door duty to enforce mask wearing mandate during community service at the habitat for humanity restore store. Jefferson county just put a new mask mandate in place. I will be wearing a mask at work too. So much for getting vaccinated no mask.

Tread lightly here boys. I spoke out against corona virus restrictions at the very beginning and I got lambasted here. It seems dissent is more acceptable now but be wary you may get told off.

Been a long while since I've seen a splintered show.

We planning on Atlanta what's the name of the hotel? My recent car trouble has hindered my plans but I'm still committed to figuring it out.

The morning dew last night was special, the interplay of note per note exchange between Eaton and JK was supremely blissful at the peak of intensity when the music and sound all seemed to hold still in that forever moment of the truest outpouring love. It was as if the world had stopped and I took a deep breathe for the first time in ages.

I lean more towards comes a time Stella blue and the three piece of help through franklins. I even feel terrapin carried more actual weight but morning dew in the right spot obviously carries quite a bit of power. I think when it appeared early in the first set even possibly as the opener my mind isn't open enough for me and it often falls flat compared to when it is in the Jerry ballad spot. Although much rarer I also feel world to give had tremendous power
