Couldn't resist:

I liked the Stella Blue the most even though I hadn’t lived enough life to really get it.
I remember being shocked about 2 things: The fact that the band members never moved from their spots and were not even slightly demonstrative. Weird.
Second - It was BOTH their drummers birthday’s!!! What were the odds? Turns out those odds weren’t very good after all.

Today is the 30th anniversary of my first Grateful Dead show.

I really didn’t quite understand the hype - it was like an inside joke that thousands were in on.
I skipped school and went (was taken) on to Chicago. It was like nothing I’d even imagined - my DNA got changed and that was it.
Like it was written in my soul.......❤️

Somebody spent way too much time lecturing me on how I should raise my children. Apparently raising principled boys of character and compassion wasn't good enough. Well here's how I see it:

nice to hear Lisa and Donna singing together on some numbers.
I went directly to the I'll Be With Thee first. That was indeed sweet.
Thanks to the taper and BOO to the jackwagons who were having their cocktail party when a DSO show happened to break out unexpectedly - geez. Their tickets costs the same as everyone elses I guess and more ticket sales for DSO ain't bad

There's a recording of this show up on the archive in case anyone wants to hear it. Nice to hear DSO's take on the JGB material, and nice to hear Lisa and Donna singing together on some numbers.

That was some wild carnival ride, with fast twists, rolling hills, a couple complete 360 turn abounds in the middle of an intersection, and the music turned up to max inside the car. At one point the driver stopped to have a quick smoke and I jumped out to pull the DSO poster off the wall of the building next door.

Man - this has the kinda variety I'm looking for! Wow.
It all looks great but this stretch looks way tasty: Unbroken Chain > The Other One > Mason's Children > Visions Of Johanna > Feeling Groovy Jam > I Know You Rider
Yum.

Valley Road got a little play I think. I saw them do it at Compton Terrace and then again in Denver a few nites later - they seemed to frolic in it!
I loved the way Hornsby goosed Jerry - he made a big difference! It was enough to overlook that damn squeeze box on a few songs where it clearly did not belong...

They’ve been doing electives since I stared seeing them in ‘01, and probably before that. An elder Starhead may be able to confirm. Bueller?
