While not the only time it was done, I love the Slipknot! ditty (best description I can think of) at the end Dark Star. Nothing insane about this show other than it's wonderfully tight

BTW I’ve seen the Grateful Dead w Jerry more than 50 times so I know what I’m talking about. Poor song selection and no flow from one song to another. On a scale from 1-10 it was a 3 we left during drums and space I’ve Never done that Ever. Also most followers are now in 50-60s. Starting at 7 and being done at 10 would be cool.

My favorite!  He knows what he's talking about!  Why not have dinner at 430p too!  Oh Wait - that was a very common occurrence for the salt of the earth crew

  8. Anthem at least for me.  Too bad Live Nation is doing the ticketing - 30% of the ticket price in fees.  I've seen worse and I know it's sometimes a necessary evil to see the band that I love, but damn!  How does a cartel like TM avoid anti-trust challenges to it's monopoly?  One word:  Corporatocracy.  Sadly, we did it to ourselves....

Gold Standard for them.  DSO is still my everything.  Hyryder is just a side piece

  10. Sweet thread drift 😁  I'm not an expert but I know a good raw oyster when it slides down just right.  A spritz of lemon and it's go time!

After my sons middle school graduation yesterday, we walked downtown for dinner to a place called The Durham Food Hall.  It's like a food court for foodies - huge wrap-around bar!  Great vibe in that place:   A curry counter, Neapolitan spot, scratch kitchen 'taco bull', Asian inspired rice/noodle bowls, AND a fresh seafood counter - everything on ice.  Wednesday's happen to be $2 oysters - and they were damn good!

  12. Comparing D+C to DSO is like comparing apples to skyscrapers - BUT - D+C have been playing their asses off on this tour.  Songs were explored much more than usual and the tempo was way better than their typical cadence.  Raleigh was a kick-ass show!  Great energy and creativity throughout - danced all the way through - Drums and Space too.  Met some really, really excellent people - my lot neighbors were the kindest there are ❤ Here's the setlist:

    (1) New Speedway Boogie, They Love Each Other, Mama Tried (complete with jazz/country space meltdown), Ramble On Rose, Dear Mr. Fantasy > Hey Jude Finale, Bird Song (w/ rainstorm)

    (2) Sugaree > St Stephen > William Tell Bridge > The Eleven > Aiko-Aiko > Drums > Space > I Need a Miracle > Wharf Rat > Casey Jones  E: Black Muddy River

Only 2 Bobby tunes although he sang quite a few Jerry's.  If you got the ways and means, I would encourage folks to check them out!  No, they ain't DSO by a longshot but they definitely do have something cookin on this tour!

So from Steve Parish’s book, it says that right before the show Rock Scully had four valium in his hand, and Jerry grabbed them and took them all before hitting the stage. And there it all began…
