kieu~* Posted April 21, 2010 Report Share Posted April 21, 2010 Earth Day 2010 on the National Mall Rally for the Green Generation April 25, 2010, Noon - 7:00 p.m. Washington, DC will hold one of the largest Earth Day gatherings in U.S. history, a major day-long event on the National Mall to rally to demand Congress enacts climate and clean energy legislation. More than fifty non-profits, government agencies and businesses will participate in Earth Day 2010. The event, sponsored by Earth Day Network, will feature music, entertainment, speakers and environmental activities. Simultaneous free events will be held in New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. 2010 Climate Rally Speakers * Reverend, Jesse Jackson * Film director, James Cameron * AFL-CIO President, Richard Trumka * Olympic gold medalist, Billy Demong * Producer, Trudie Styler * Author, Margaret Atwood Earth Day Entertainment on the National Mall * Sting * John Legend * The Roots * Bob Weir * Patrick Stump * Mavis Staples * Passion Pit * Q-Tip * Booker T Location Exhibitors will be located between 4th and 14th Streets.
