From recollection, I don't think I saw my second till 4/13/85 at Irvine Meadows; #3 next night; #4 6/27/85 SPAC. I only saw approx 15-20 (lost many stubs when moving out of Mom + Dad's.. ). Wish I had had the balls (Credit Card!) to go to Cali more often w/ friends from Boulder. As it was, my buddy I drove with to Irvine flew back to Denver, and I had to drive alone back to Boulder. Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted September 9, 2014 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted September 9, 2014 I drove from Laramie to Irvine for the 1987 series and then drove right back to get to classes at U of WYO. My buddy flew into LAX that Friday night arriving at 5pm , believe me we made it to Irvine by the 7:30 show time. I had the 20 hour drive invested and he had his 3 hour flight from Cincinnati... Cold Rain and Snow opened the outdoor season that year at Irvine. 83 RR seemed like a cauldron smoldering to me, it took me years to get in the HelpSlip you got at the 9/6 show.
