Forum MVP John A Posted July 22, 2020 Forum MVP Report Posted July 22, 2020 I'm referring to the dirty sounding sing-songy keyboard riff in Estimated Prophet that reared it's head in 1991. I'd blocked it out, but I had 6-24-91 Bonner Springs up nice and loud in the car today and had to lunge for the volume knob. You all know the sound to which I refer. Maybe Rob B can shed more light onto this. And I shouldn't dare ask, but if DSO plays an Estimated from '91 forward does one hear this noise? It's truly horrific. In fairness, I think some of my adverse reaction comes from it accosting the sound while Jerry is playing a beautiful series of notes as they softly ease into the outro jam. But still.

Nails on a chalkboard. I blame Vince. It’s his fingers. Not so fast, Bralove. You are, as my attorney friends would say, “culpable”.
Forum MVP acududeman Posted July 22, 2020 Forum MVP Report Posted July 22, 2020 Vince......I REALLY don't like either his keyboard sound nor his voice. And this is the main reason I tuned out largely after Brent died.
Band Member robbok3 Posted July 23, 2020 Band Member Report Posted July 23, 2020 From what Vince once told me, all of his sounds were fed to him by Bralove and he had very little control.

Wow......as a musician, I would think that would really suck......to lack control of your instrument sounds??
