Playing outside with little man right now for 10 minutes has me soaked and I’m barely moving. Guess you’d need a bunch of paramedics on standby and some post NFL game ice baths. That could be VIP. Fyre festival early bird tickets for an undisclosed date at an undisclosed location for late 2024, sold out. Hope everyone got their tix. Should be epic. They only sold 100 so this was obviously to get free media publicity, but it also shows there are at least 100 fools out there who buy tix from a previous scammer without knowing when and where a festival will be or who will even be there….A sucker is born every minute

Got to catch Saturday of Hyryders lazy summer home fest. Was such a cute campground and a really nice setup. Also got to hang with a long lost doctor and my favorite newly married Irishman who I was surprised to see. They did 3 1:15 sets then a 1:30 final set. 5:15 of actual music left my calves screaming but I forged through full speed. It’s a different feel than a jubilee as it’s mostly locals and has a local feel vs jubilee with people from all over. It’s a bit more party party of a scene too with every other camp selling nitrous. Tanks 30 feet from the stage lol. There were more messed up peeps than you usually see likely b/c those peeps don’t hit the road for travel and stay close to home for various reasons. Definitely more of a blue collar feel. But Indy peeps have a solid local band with around 40 shows a year so they are very fortunate and they show their love for their band and their followers are committed. Post show having some drinks and someone with a big PA puts on a Deadco show and in my relaxed bliss with a glass of whiskey, I hear John mayer singing in my ear. Luckily several others agreed and we got them to switch to real dead. I’m like Jerry band, dead, Hyryder, dso, JRAD are all acceptable choices. Deadco isn’t lol.

If Meilis boss tries to fuck us and make us miss the start of the Birmingham show not letting her off at 1 that day, we may just quit that job and go wild on fall tour. Mom can you babysit for a week. Then a few weeks later for another week? K thanks. Appleton> chicago looks cool besides 2 days off in Iowa of all boring places for a day off. But I’d guess there will be room to boogie!

I’m getting excited for this. It’s been a while since I drove to 3 cities in 3 days. Since covid this is the 1st time the south has gotten an actual run in 4+ years!!! Meilis salivating about it as well. We are gonna do this without any PTO meaning driving home post show from Chattanooga. Post show driving also brings back great memories. There were tours we always hit the next town after the show. Some times there was no choice b/c you don’t day drive sandiego to LA or we had a spot to sleep in the next town. Covid turned so much stuff upside down and getting a little taste of being on actual tour is exciting!!!

Did you hear that rant from the promoter ragging DSO’s manager while Hyryder was getting ready to play. Seemed tacky. You shouldn’t be ranting about that anyway in public but it’s rude to be like we wish DSO was headlining the fest but their manager wasn’t content, while Hyryder was up there. It’s like someone saying we wish Deadco was here but you have to settle for dso.

the FB vids look epic. There’s a lack of thong bikinis at jubilee and being a feminist, I fight for women to be able to wear them in every day circumstances and oppose censorship!! It seems that grateful fest is fighting back against this national push to demonize appropriate clothing!!

we wanted to do grateful fest but it’s not to be. with dso, ticket prices are irrelevant to seeing shows but the 3 day phish ticket for Bridgestone is $360 each and 720 for a pair stings a bit vs 250 for a pair 3-day dso run. We’re doing Friday and Saturday phish. There are a ton of unsold upper level which means tix on CashorTrade will be 40 or less for Bridgestone day of show when everyone dumps tix for less than face since it’s not sold out. It sort of sucks how phish and dso Birmingham>Chattanooga are back to back weekends. Would be nice to get a run a month instead of back to back weekends then not much rest of the year.

Sweet got my 1st row dead center balcony tix for St. Louis. That GA floor gets oppressively packed and balcony was only $45 a ticket front row. Boom. We’ve started to get balcony when possible and reasonably priced at venues where it’s hard to dance and the pageant has so many chairs and tables and railed off tiers that it’s rough dancing and that pit is shoulder to shoulder. Wish they would remodel that place and just tear it all out and have 1 large flat floor like all of the new venues are doing.

we were going to do all 3 Phish Nashville in October until DSO announced fall tour with advanced notice yay. Now we are prob just gonna do 1-2 at Bridgestone since it’s the week before DSO does their 1st 3 of fall. I’m a fan of arena shows. You get the big sound and light shows and there should be tickets galore as Nashville is not a jam band town at all. They didn’t even open the upper level for Panic New Years for the Friday night show and had maybe 100-200 max upper level for actual New Years eve. Hoping for some cheap get in tix but phish is a bigger act.

James Brady is only oppressive if it’s packed. This place would be oppressive too sold out. This will be the show to go to on a Wednesday night. Should be dance room for days. It’s crazy how much Newport has grown up. That whole downtown area has been torn down and condos and hotels built up. I always wondered why Newport with a quick bridge to Cincy wasn’t the go to place to live if you work in downtown cincy as it’s the closest living area to downtown when most Cincy residents live 10 miles away. fun fact: Newport used to be Sin City. They had illegal gambling and prostitution houses and the liquor stores are still open until 2:30 am. They have changed a lot but it’s where peeps go for booze late night in cincy

Boogie down. what’s weird is if you drive around if you will never find it. It’s on the 2nd floor of a parking garage. We and others were like where the hell is it then we see a tiny sign pointing to an elevator that takes you up

yoo had 3 Richmond shows in 2022. 3/26/22 and 11/17 and 11/18/22. Facebook is where people who get way more than their fair share of shows go to complain. the very last show before Wyoming was Boston. That tour had a lot of Vermont and CT and nonstop New York. Dso plays different areas of the country on different tours. New York and the northeast has had way way more than they used to get. They play maybe 70 shows a year at this point and half have been up there. Again, Facebook is the place to go complain when you aren’t aware how they do tours and when they just played your town a couple shows ago and are mad they play in a different region. and I don’t even know what this is. Forums got a bit weird today.

Sweet. Several 3 day weekends that look nice. I’m shooting for the Birmingham>Atlanta>Chattanooga run and St. Louis at least. Real tour schedule again. Giddy up

Got to see Panic at redrocks for 3 shows June 23-25th. Flight was delayed 6 hours which created a ton of stress and we got to the show 20 mins in which was so lucky. Unfortunately what we didn’t know is if you don’t get there way before doors which is 2:30 before the show, you can’t get in the seating part. Everyone puts down blankets and you are screwed. Saturday we get there 30 mins before doors and can only get row 53 of 70. You couldn’t hear any bass up there and the sound was super weak. Everyone near us was shocked how quiet the sound was. So Sunday we get in line at 2pm and get row 30. We were stilll disappointed in the sound. Panic usually turns it way up. You never complain about volume at their shows but it was lacking. The whole weekend was a race. Race to eat and hit dispensary then race to the show then race up the stairs to drop your blanket and secure a spot. We had zero time to enjoy Colorado. We did spend a ton of time at redrocks and it has gorgeous views so there’s that, but we won’t be going again for this. It’s like tailgating at a football game 3 straight days. We like getting to a show right before start time and relaxing before. There was none of that for us. I also realized that no matter what song, I can’t get to the level I get when DSO plays dead or several of the other dead bands we like. We couldn’t push through the pain Fron climbing stairs like we could if dead was playing. On that note we will probably catch Phisj 3 shows im Nashville early October b/c we can do all 3 without her requesting any PTO as it’s a quick drive.

Holy crap. Saw someone on CashorTrade trying to sell their DSO Was fest tix for $220 each which is face and it’s just dso playing not an all day fest or anything. Those were official platinum for 2nd row center. I’d pay more for DSO than pretty much any band but not paying $220 a ticket. Geez. I can guarantee no one on CashorTrade is buying those

Deadco tonight at cornel. 46 anniversary of 5/8/77. There’s a $15 livestream that may be better than the original show!! Check their FB b/c I’m sure lots may go there with the comments. Unfortunately I won’t be getting the stream. Hard pass.
