  1. By announcing so late we were forced to make other plans. We are trying for Asheville but panic RR is the weekend after then heading to the beach. I bet dso will be in my backyard that red rocks weekend, but have to get plans in the books for her to get off work. I’m guessing dso won’t announce shows too close to Columbus to make sure they sell jubilee out.
  2. Wow that seems nuts if they didn’t have some GA camping for peeps who flew in and didn’t want to get a car. I’d think someone in line would let you hop in or hop in the back of a truck.
  3. We try to hit Smalls when in NYC b/c you can stay all night vs many where you buy tix for an hour or so and then get shuffled out. Covid really killed jazz clubs. The green mill in Chicago was always our go to post dso/deadco/JRAD but now the music stops at midnight vs 4am pre covid.
  4. Let Charlie Morgan of Hyryder do Phil’s vocals for him lol. Some west coasters are gonna get turned on to the silkiest Jerry and Bobby voice in the land.
  5. we went to disc jockey and got in line before it opened. Probably made more sense selling tickets in a music store than suitcase store. The problem was tickets would sometimes go on sale before it opened.
  6. I still love trying to catch a lot of shows but it’s no longer priority 1 like it was from 2014-2020. They are still a priority for mental and physical health but lower down.
  7. we are pretty much on destination weekends for the next 5 years and as the years progress my appetite for driving 4 straight days is almost nil. I did love doing many whole tours in the day though. Those memories are cherished. With her 15 vacation days a year and 5 of those are beach days, we have about 6-7 weekends/fests we can do a year plus the random Saturday Nashville, St. Louis, cincy or Indy up and backs. Pretty much shooting for 15-20 annual shows and hopefully like 10 of those being dso. I was on pace to hit 200 dso shows in 2020 but now it will probably be next year when I hit that milestone and 10 years for the next 100 vs 100 in 26 months at 1 stretch catching around 40%. What’s funny is id only seen 28 dso shows before meili saw her 1st and she’s now at around 140. That’s pretty nuts to think about and she’s done 3 completely solo deadco shows I didn’t want to do which she wouldn’t have done early in the relationship without the confidence of this being her music now and her scene and she’d go spend the whole day on lot which I have zero interest in doing now but I did do when I was young. What’s funny is she knew I wouldn’t be interested in some of the up and backs and had already packed and then was like I’m going to Deadco St. Louis. You can come if you want or the I left work early and am already headed to cincy. Can you find me a ticket on CashorTrade. See you and Jonathan tomorrow. But I created the need for shows and solo shows are pretty fun. Non deadheads don’t really understand going to a show solo, but you’re never really alone at a dance party.
  8. Lol you can get a commemorative ticket for Deadco for $10 extra. That’s freaking silly. Is anyone familiar with the Ticketmaster scam back in the day. They mailed your tickets and you could go to box office day of show and say they never arrived and get another set of tix. We used it honorably when our car was robbed on tour by non tour peeps so there wouldn’t be anyone in our spot.
  9. Unfortunately we couldn’t wait on the announce and are doing panic red rocks 6/23-25. The road gets tiring and 3 Colorado shows at 1 spot is the ticket and panic always delivers the goods. I just hope dso isn’t doing a bunch of Midwest shows then 😭
  10. It was at a ski resort so they had to figure it would be at least a bit cold. Wind chill showed in single digits. They needed those heaters on the sidelines of football games that look like torpedoes. Do you feel your fingers against the strings or just assume your fingers are where they need to be. This is when that heated guitar you bought on a whim comes in handy. The drummers were likely doing their Carter Beauford glove tribute. Did the guitarists and barraco use fingerless gloves? If Lisa tried to do pig harmonica, the spit would freeze. That jubilee 2 was cold as balls and last night was like 15 degrees colder. I’d be in my sleeping bag or car more likely with the heat
  11. Saw Hyryder at the bluebird in Bloomington, IN last night. Really cute music club that is only open during shows so seeing this wasn’t some bar show but an actual venue, we made the short drive. Hyryder never disappoints. The only issue is they aren’t doing full 4 hour start to finish anymore. They are doing like 3:45. My greed is off the charts. DSO used to start almost every show at the second of showtime. Even saw them start one 2 minutes early. Id tell people the show will start in 10 minutes b/c it was 7:50. They were like no band does that. I’m like trust me. Of course deadheads are the greediest fans ever. We want 5 hours not just 4 and god forbid dso does a 8:15 to 11:50 show. Hey guys there’s time for 1 more!!! But as I age, 3:30 start to finish is sufficient…….sometimes.
  12. Was curious if anyone here was at the making of the touch of grey video after the 1987 Laguna seca show. I found the making of the video on internet archives. Dead Ringers: The making of touch of grey https://archive.org/details/grateful-dead-making-of-1987-vhs
  13. 2 pairs just sold on CashorTrade. Another is up for sale. Make sure to set a notification so you get a text when posted
  14. i see your ISO on CashorTrade. Unfortunately not being a gold member gives gold members a 10 minute head start over you. If you see lots of shows, the $25 annual fee to be a gold member pays off in spades. You’re more likely to respond quicker and many will always sell to the gold member if there are several offers. Every Deadco and panic ticket I’ve ever gotten was well under face value. Deadco lawns are $20 all day on show day. Billy strings recent Bridgestone tickets were selling for $20-30 for 80 face.
  15. There was a point where I wanted to name our little man Levon (lead singer drummer)as I really love that name as well as Levon Helm’s voice and drumming, but figured 95% of the people would think we named him after an Elton John song so didn’t want that. Meili was telling people we were going to name him Lettuce for a few weeks.
  16. Anyone who does whole tours will hear some songs more than they want, but people just popping a 3 show weekend or doing just 1 show on a tour make up 99% of the audience. I heard the 1st one in Milwaukee and enjoyed it. Life changed and I won’t ever see whole tours again so I don’t expect I’ll get burnt out on any new song.
  17. Lmao I need reading glasses. I thought that said 83 orgasm and I was wondering if rob had some story in 1983 that involved that song and a chick. Lol. B3 makes a lot more Sense
  18. Curious how fast DSO played the opening Touch when they recreated the 6-15-1985 dead show in 2014 and 2002. That song is so ridiculously fast tempo. If you aren’t familiar with it check it out. It’s so fast, it’s really not played well and would be hard to play well. You can’t really do anything with it at that tempo. You are trying to just not fall off the bus.
  19. it’s just the way it is. Some things will never change.

the score was already accidentally posted on PFR. 37-34 eagles. The Sportsbooks had that score at 250-1 and it quickly got bet down to 80-1. Someone’s getting fired in the NFL offices for letting the final score slip out early. 10-0 Chiefs after Q1 is what the NFL has scripted, but the eagles make a comeback b/c the nfl knows it’s good for ratings.
  21. weren’t you at that Cleveland house of blues in like 2017. I think I did that whole tour with mei and think you were on the road as well.
  22. i was planning on going to those with Gr8tfulpair before my mom had surgery and then had no one to keep the little man. I’d have been real disappointed

in the offseason you add a FA who gets you 18 sacks and you trade for a WR1 who gives you 1500 yards. That’s how you get to the SB.
  24. Sml is the rock star. Scott is the groupie who lived in his car following the band around eating vegetarian burritos for weeks on end. Different people. what’s nuts is the 2 shows I contemplated doing—JRAD Atlanda and dso Tahoe were both cancelled.
  25. Tahoe in February is risky. I remember us barely making it out of town and the cops checking to see if you had chains on or they wouldn’t let you up the pass to go to Vegas. Dso stopped doing Midwest in winter b/c of all the snow and ice storms and went west but with Tahoe and Colorado you never know if the show will go on this time of year. Is that the dude who stole Jubilee? I don’t think jubilee went as crazy ever. Everyone was like that sml guy was the best thing they have seen since Billy string graced the stage. I heard strangers compare it to the moon landing if the moon landing was actually real and not faked which it was. Faked.
