It's too damn hot in Tennessee. But we got out of Colorado just in time. We getting over 12 inches of snow at home.

I loved how the eyes went from really fun and joyous to dark and troubled back to joyous back to dark back to pure bliss. So great to see old friends here tonight too. Nick and Ellie were in attendance.

It's been a journey to get here today as it often is when chasing this music. We left home for the airport at 3 am. Our flight was a little late cause we sat on the ground on both ends. Then the real hassle started. My card got rejected twice at the rental car place even though I had the funds in there to cover the rental and the deposit. They told me that their policy is not to run the card a 3rd time. I convinced the manager to let me run it one more time. Called the bank to clear up any holds they may have placed on the account. This whole ordeal took over 2 hours. But we are here at the hotel. Headed over to the show in about 45 minutes. Can't wait. The payoff on days like today is always sweeter.

Caverns 2 day pass - 1 available, make offer

I think rude will have the best of both worlds. Access to the campgrounds but also a hotel to retreat to. We just get the hotel and I'm okay with that. -

I feel much better today. I wouldn't say totally out of the woods but definitely a lot better. -

Delilah had fever cough real bad. Then Whitney was more cough and sneezing. I've been more cough and sneezing. The fever hasn't hit me too bad. Lots of mucus coming out. Sucks. -

So am I but we just had a pretty severe cold go through family. First Delilah. Then Whitney. I am the 3rd victim. It wasn't covid. All negative on that front but possibly the flu. It took them like 3/4 days to rebound. I'm on day 3 now so it's probably good I got another day or two for recovery. -

Plan on doing the days between festival and some other stuff that may pop up in august.
-
Choices choices. With sights set on Europe, I sadly realize that Hampton Beach is out. I will still see you in NJ. All plans through July are booked and planned. I still plan to add some August stuff to the plans but looks like Caverns, Memphis, Jubilee, and NJ are it through July.
-
I'll see you in NJ
-
Oh there's the NJ in June show I mentioned. It must've come to me in a dream.
-
As for actually catching music, I got personal things that I need to devote greater attention to so I won't make us many but I'm still spoiled. Got 6 Dso shows coming. Caverns Memphis and jubilee. I'll be able to catch NJ in June and Hampton beach. Plus definitely gonna make days between festival and jubilee New York. So my cup will be full.

Mostly I put this on cause grateful shred played viola lee blues and even with 3 guitar players and a lot of fancy synthesizers couldn't even scratch what the Dead do to close this show.
-
Went to Boulder tonight to see Grateful Shred. The gets a little too synthesizer for me but put on a damn good show. The first set was a little short and the crowd although attentive seemed extremely stiff. Almost like we were the only ones dancing, definitely the only ones dancing in 360 degree manner. We eventually saw one other dancer. The crowd really came around 2nd set. By the shakedown encore it was a full on boogie down. Not 100 percent but I think we will go see them in Denver tomorrow night.

It's still a few days away but listening to 5/2/70 complete with the new riders set tonight. Epic stuff.

I've noticed less activity around here. I'm making a conscious effort to increase my own. I think I may even return to long winded reviews.
-
I would be surprised if selbyville de is a one off like that. DSO has played Asheville or black mountain right around there for the last I don't know 10 years so I would bet they had to Virginia and then to Asheville from there but I don't know nothing you guys don't know. Just speculating. Maybe more than that. Maybe I'm hoping.

I'm gonna give that 4/23/77 a spin today. Scarlett fire. HSF. Looks great on paper.

I'm gonna to suggest a cure for workitus is 2 nights Caverns with a Memphis booster if the sickness holds through the Caverns. Life is far too short to suffer through workitus when there is a cure. I have my DSO approved vaccine so Im not worried about Chuck spreading it to me.
