Man the last two weekends I have hit this little soon to be private club in Louisville. It’s just starting but apparently a guy who used to post “living room concerts” online with local musicians bought a place to start having these shows. No cover, BYOB, and they pass the hat with 100% of the donations going to the artists performing. 1st week I went was a bluegrass band that I basically watched grow up and become a band down at Terrapin hill farm. Last night was a local legend who played old blues and gave us a Peggy O. Dude is a music lover who tells everyone that this is a “listening room” not a concert hall. A place for music lovers to go to listen to music. Just a freakin beautiful spot for live local music with no hassles. He’s been doing this about 8 months, and I’m kinda salty that I’m just now hearing about it because so far it seems Taylor made for me.

  2. Barraco played keys for both Gov Mule and Phil & Friends. It was the “pseudo- Quintet”, Molo on drums, Barraco on keys, Warren, Phil, and John Scofield.

whole xmas jam show and production was amazing. Scott Metzger did acoustic mini sets with his wife Katie Jacoby on fiddle to open and between some of the acts.

Dinosaur Jr crushed their 30 minute set. Govt Mule, Tyler Childers, and Phil’s sets were back to back just as good as good can be. Music started at 7:00 pm and continued until 2:20 am

Gonna arrive in Seattle on Sunday night just in time to hit the Billy Strings show, barring no travel delays

Tickets were available when I got off the plane. However, I missed the window for online sales a little bit later and when I got to the venue it had sold out. So that sucked. Next time!

  6. Actually they are pretty stale both in playing but also what they are playing. I saw both Ratdog and Phil for years, both solo and together, and compare the setlists. Dead and co play far less songs altogether with far less transitions and far less novelty. They’ve got less to work with and you are gonna get the hits a lot more often

  9. I hate the ritual of watching the weather for the Jubilee weekend come together. It changes 3 times a day. In the end, it *almost* always works out.

I know today where I live it was forecasting rain/cloudy with 60% chance. It was partly sunny and we got a pop up sprinkle for 30 seconds. My hope is Friday is the same, rain in the morning, and hopefully in the 70s.

also, yeah, rude is right about the highways. Keep your windows clean
