Like this excerpt:
"We watched many a pastel colored yuppie suck down frozen mixed drinks, oblivious to the seriousness of the first set. By the time Drums was hitting us, these poor folks were literally crawling up the aisles, covered in their own sick, trying to get out of the cauldron. A bizarre sight, but I am sure if had been partaking of anything psychoactive that night, I would have been right down there with them."
Or this one perhaps:
"If you want to take a journey into your psyche and see what associations lie in wait - fear not for the whole world is in this one Dark Star...tv static, racquetball courts, time-machines, medieval torture, insect communication, funeral horns of new orleans, buddhist scripture, worldbeat, witches incantations, ice-ages, wars, raga, muzak, volcanoes, black holes, peruvian indigenous sounds, crawling, creeping, gliding, seething ends, beginnings, and tight rope walking over some huge abyss."
LOL!
Oh man, I think it's time to give this one a play, right now 👀👽

10/26/89 - Miami! The ‘scary’ Dark Star show.
Was heading over to post that one, such a good and spooky sounding Dark Star. Reading the reviews from this show is fun, too.

Today's offering from the Spectrum. Pretty funny review by user Wang Dong at the very top of the comments section of the Archive page linked above.
Hahaha, that is a funny review. Something tells me he's using a pseudonym 🤔🤔

6 PM sharp. There are many great restaurants in Asbury, depending upon what you're looking for. Porta which is right behind the Pony, is an open air bar/ restaurant where most folks will be. Asbury has been revitalized, and is thriving. There is an retro pinball arcade there that is really cool. It's right on the boardwalk near Convention Hall. The beach is very nice also, but in Jersey nothing comes for free so there is a daily fee of 7$ Water temp is in mid 70's. Safe travels,.

Thanks for the heads up, looking forward to the show. Looks like this place has a pretty good capacity, huh? Gonna try to get down early from CT to attempt to beat the traffic, see how that goes.

Anybody have any idea on when DSO is taking the stage? Tried calling the venue, but all they have is some recorded schedule announcement. Looks like there is a Neil Young cover band kicking off the night, who knows how long they will play. Hope for clear skies, supposed to be some peak meteor shower activity this night.

Lots of fun at this show. Highlights for me were He's Gone, The Other One and Comes a Time. Rob was on fire on the keys all night.
