  1. A year or two back I posted “as long as there’s one person at the show that loves this music like I do, I will be there”
Last night it seemed like it was everyone...dancing, singing, twirling, swaying , hopping and all right from the first note.
What a great vibe with great people from all over the country.
The Drums had a primitive part that pulled me and the guy next to me right in..incredible, where else can I get that communion.
    Thanks DSO.

  2. 2 days later and I’m still smiling,  and from what I remember that’s better than sex.

I’m slow to get to know ya’ll , but getting there. Was  hoping to meet Mason at one of the shows .  Maybe Boulder... I’m to the left of Chris in the back row with a hand wave. Mason you are?  And who’s the guy to the left behind Meli? Love the energy he brings to everyone!!!

Great shows!! And Nina ur the best!

A crazy highlight while sitting in the VIP section during drums - the insects (crickets I think) were all chirping along to the drums set (which was a very organic/foresty type sound).  It was crazy to hear these effects in stereo as the band "connected with the animals".  It was really cool to hear that.

Rowan...if u thought they slayed  the drum solo.. their Terrapin Station would have blow ur mind!!

That was my first event at pisgah.

it was a great place with a super casual vibe. Huge diff from

the 6 armed police and German Shepard at the entrance to Virginia credit union...

i made the 8 hour journey based on this show being a must go.. Thank u to everyone that said that, u were so right

DSO is the greatest and a venue is a huge part of the experience!!!

i can post the group photo if I can figure out the .1 meg limit or if someone gives me a hint

  4. Best way to drink cheaply

get a zip lock bag the press close ones not the hard tab, fill it with ur tequila of choice and place it on your hip .

    gets in every time

    saves 20$ a show

  5. Think I will skip Dewey beach shows and do VA show and head toBM.

better than Hampton?  I think i can’t miss those two shows!   Mason , maybe we can meet some time

if u were at HBeach it would have been nice meeting you. Where do u usually hang out at the shows ?

  7. Keeping with driving theme

6 hours turned to 8 as every road on Friday filled with vacationers and accidents ...I even had to put Spa music on to get me through it...help me lord.

arrived at 7:50 bought a ticket had a drink and a toke and loved the energy at the show. The crowd was in it from start to finish and needless to say the band alsways is and was last night.

gonna hit the beach and the show tonight.  I got a miracle to tonight’s show from a women dancing near me that could not go tonight. I told her I would rather have her go to the show than me get a free ticket because she definitely loved the music.

  8. I just finished listening to sec1968’s taping of the show on archive.org for the second time.  The band seems to be “playing” more with the music and lyrics. Kinda letting loose, improvising and having fun with it.  Not sure I can point to anything specific . Maybe ripple, and just the way Jeff said “fucker” during wharf rat.  I really liked that show a lot. Is anyone else noticing something similar?

  9. Why I left after Saturday night show I’ll never know. maybe my dancing was holding everyone back. I love hearing you’re raising the group dance bar.  I left early  my first and last JRAD show cause there was no group DSO energy to be found.

    Praise DSO

We are of very aware of the presence of the Amazing Giants.  They are a Jubilee staple.....Personally, I love watching them while I play and it has the ability to give me a spark of energy......

In a shrouded way, my post was meant in high praise. Your music needs nothing. You guys are soul moving. If you want to march in elephants and stomp the crowd , i’m In.  I will just hang further back, and dance around the carnage.

    Thanks for sharing your talent!

  11. I felt bad for the band. Whoever thought the band needed help

entertaining the crowd doesn’t get it .

Fire twirlers , people on stilts and swingers on poles?  Really?

unless the audience decides to twirl fire , walk on stilts or swing from a pole, it doesn’t belong.  Contrived and out of place.  I agree with all the VIP short falls. Management needs direction. I’m sure the band wasn’t consulted on the sub-entertainment during their show.

I ignored the sub-entertainment but wished I didn’t need to.

it was such a grate time, with the grateful things far  outweighing the distractions.

Count me in for next jubilee, all 3 days

  12. After Brown Eyed , I said to the women next to me “that was great!”..her reply ... “no, that was FUCKING great”

    and it really was!

Penns peak is a great venue with a great pre show outdoor scene and zero hassle . The wood floors and beamed ceiling treat my knees and the sound perfectly.  Been to a lot of shows in many places in 3 years. It’s a must go show

just another great DSO experience with people dancing , living and singing

    thank you band and crew!

I guess i’m in for Ohio drive and tenting

  13. Lisa takes u on a nice ride with that song.  Each venue seems to have a song the crowd really enjoys. I thought iko was Raleigh’s , at least where I was swaying it seemed that way.  Took the 6.5 hour drive home after the show, but wished I could have stayed for tonight’s.  So it goes.

  14. I’d expected more of a roasting. Thanks

the London tour will need to be planned  more carefully

excited for tonight and the drive home😮 who doesn’t love 95

    Going golfing now

  15. Wasn’t sure if I should post this under this show or Asheville show.

drove from philly to Asheville yesterday for the show.(aquick 9 hours) .only to find out at 7 pm I was 24 hours too late for the Asheville show..(I’m not attributing it to age, I just think I’m only now realizing how stupid I can be) .  So I drive the two hours to catch the 2nd set at Charlotte. 1/2 dso better than no dso

I saw PG and Joe for a brief moment they moved to the front and when I got there u guys were gone.

sticking around and driving into Raleigh now for tonight’s show ...at least I think it’s tonight...
