  1. I’ve become a HUGE fan of the Drum set .  Last night’s show was great.  Plenty of dance room right up front .  Many pockets of dancers spread out throughout the floor .

Does anyone know if lisa contractually has to get out on stage each show?

    I’m just wondering, nothing more.

  2. EDM  Rude

my son’s going to the EDM 2 day show It is the biggest EDM philly event ever.  It kinda puts them in the EDM game.

i went to bonnaroo in 2016 and the split between old and new was very apparent .  As u witnesses at the hotel

I did 3 edm shows there and the energy (moly induced) is incredible .

Regardless of the band, it’s people coming together to enjoy

    Praise DSO

  3. They usually start pretty close to on time, as stated my GoC.

i like the idea of hanging near sound board

last year I parked at 7pm right on 7th street a block from EF

but I believe there’s pay parking past EF on Right side on 7th street

    rain should stop soon

I’m putting on my dancing sneakers and selecting my tequila now,  here we go!  It’s time , I’m ready to go

    c u all there

  4. I am not a gambling man

but if you look over the last 2-3 years at the double header concerts it appears heavily weighted to a recreation on the second night

    1st night is 15/9 elective/recreation

    2nd night is 10/20 elective/recreation

That puts the 2nd show at a  50% greater chance of having a recreation

    But it’s still a 50/50 chance

they will or won’t play an elective on saturday.  Lol.

  5. This may sound pathetic, but I downloaded Hardpan’s 3+ Hour recording and listen to the whole thing tonight on my flight between Philly and Des Moines. It fit perfectly in the hours between.   Ahhh the memories, seems like just yesterday!

  6. Perfectly said BillK522 and Greg. I wish I were able to express my feelings and thoughts in a similar manner. But I’m more of a lover than a writer.

I waited for that MD opening song in hopes of it kicking off the 6/10/73 show, but didn’t give a shit after Promise land filled the anthem.

Such a good time.  I love the vibe when everyone around me is just tied to every note.  The couple next to me smiled and dance for all 4 hours, I couldn’t help telling them how great it was. His response: “nothing left to do but smile smile smile”.

i responded a corny “jerry loves you”.

After the show they  hunted me down and both gave me a hug.  It meant a lot to me.

I’m slowly meeting members of the board at the shows but still enjoy “being on the outside”.  Met Hardpan and his brother Jake. 2 gentlemen for sure, and saw Gregfromchester in his signature classic tie dye.  Hope to dance together with more of you.

    Let the winter tour begin!

  7.  the first strum of MD sets the tone, capturing some sense of apocalyptic end.

i don’t hear it every time, but when it hits, U can sense the event.

    Epic!

  8. Long Island show was super strong,  great performance. A bonus was no traffic on LIE .   I didn’t need sunglasses,  the  lights were supportive and not an audience intrusion, in fact the guy next to me during the Drum leaned over and said “those blue lights are perfect , almost luminescent” .  LOL. He was right, and I swear I hadn’t previously mentioned my light fetish .

great night .  It was worth every mile of the 3 hour ride home.

Not that any one would care , but I hung all  night with my buddy Reed, whom I met at my second DSO show and hadn’t seen for about a year and half. It was great to c he was still alive .  He was traveling around in 2016-2017 to all the east coast shows but took this year off to work .  Kids and their work ethics...

Wish I could have hung around for tonight’s show too.

  9. I was about 7 rows back from center.

couldnt miss the energy from the 3 guys and 7 gals jumping from the first note

All good by me, feel the music and show it.

They were gone after first set

the kid that collapsed may have been with that group so they all left.

beyond that episode, everything seemed chill and didn’t c anything unusual

its no EDM show.  The DSO shows r tame events

  10. I tell people that story whenever someone mentions RR.

About how I spent an hour looking  for the perfect place and found it. It was smack in the middle at row 25, PERFECT !  BUT by the time I found it, there were no open seats, they were all taken.  But some women behind me must have seen me searching and says  “ hey u can join us” .. I was like yes!  SCORE!!

I started talking to the guy with her and he says “ I think I know u” .  I say “nope!”  He says “were u at the NYE show in Philly?”  I say “ yup, but I don’t remember u”. He says “ok”. We talk a bit more.  The music starts, he starts to dance, I point at him and I say  “I do know u, ur a chemist, ur Joe !”

I travel 1500 miles and gravitated to a spot among 10000 people to hang  with the same people  I danced with on NYE.  RR magic at work.   Thanks DSO

  12. PG

    U said u may c Huk?

i think I hung with u @ red rock show.

i was looking for a place to sit and u invited me to sit with u

If ur married to a chemist and have two boys , then ur that person

Huk’s a great high energy dancer , who said to me after the first song “ok, that’s it. Do We need more?” .  If ur that person , thank u for welcoming me. I had the greatest time because of ur invitation.  Thanks again, and I hope ur winter brings u balance.

  13. Worth the drive from Philly

great show with a great crowd.

bs69 ,  the strum of the guitar by Matt to end NFA was because the crowds beat was so off, Eaton couldn’t get back in. He tried like 3-4 times and was kinda at a loss until Matt just thru out the strom.

I’ve been at shows where the NFA chant doesn’t work and just ends. Last night wasn’t the case ,  I appreciated the band keeping to the audience participation of the past....

  14. I get tired of typing “ great show,” but it was . Rob and Dino gave captivating Drum.

Favorite - to date, leaving me room in the future.

Stella blue - incredible (no FB yell out)

and the song once hated , now loved Looks Like Rain ,fit this rainy Pittsburg weather ,  thanks Rob!!

Being 60 and loving the music with people 20-25 who feel the same is such a great experience!  Not sure if there’s anything like it.  Love the energy

lost my Airbnb last night and drove 1.5 hours in rain to the salt fork state park , set   Up at primative camp site at 2am in the dark , crashed till 11 and just got back from a hike by a lake with pine needle covered trail (worth the lost Airbnb) .

Going to Columbus show  , I will leave my tent and return tonight after another “great show”

    thanks DSO
