2nd set looks pretty good. Bobby or pig schoolgirl? Shakedown opener. World to Give always special. Last one I caught was in St. Louis. Another one in Colorado. Then back to Mighty High. Always remember when I hear that tune.

2nd set looks pretty good. Bobby or pig schoolgirl?

1st set was the best set for me from Friday and Saturday (did not attend thurs). Bucket, Foolish, Box, Cassidy was a really strong start. It was nice to hear Lazy Lightening>Sup. and then the Here Comes Sunshine jam was the highlight of the weekend for me, really good tempo with a 73 feel. Always love Lisa singing, well, anything she wants ha; so its great to catch You Aint Women Enough. The set seemed like it was never going to end at that point, and then MK showed up; love that he was invited out. I enjoy his energy on stage, and it was great to have him up there (Bay area folks need to check him out in Ghosts of Electricity w/ Stu Allen playin all Bob Dylan tunes)

2nd set highlight for me was for sure RB doing Schoolgirl w/ Lisa on harp. I always love that one. Gimme Some Lovin, World to Give, and Werewolves were also tunes that I was really glad to hear.

The sound in the room was really good both night I attended, as noted by others. Congrats to DSO on the new front of house mixer, have fun!

So nice to see some many familiar friendly faces! Looking forward to Santa Cruz!

You're forgetting Baltimore Rick. Amazing world to give there.

Remember? We held hands...

Now that you jogged my memory. I do remember that, but last night I did not. I may not have been all there mentally in Baltimore.

oh lordie.....3 really fun nights. I can't count how many times folks came up to me saying how amazing the band sounds.... and the sound in that room was phenomenal.

Personally, I thought the first two nights were stronger than the 3rd, but last night was one of my favorite nights of dancing....blissing out with some of my dearest friends was such a sweet treat. The first set seemed a bit disconnected at first but lifted off around the lazy lightning- a song that has grown on me quite a bit...its one that dso does so well - slower tempo than some of the GD and very powerful- i prefer it over some of the GD's lazy lightnings actually....

i dug the 2nd set a whole lot...nice one on the women smarter>schoolgirl....good combination of songs if I may say so...

thats the best I could do so far for a summary....words aren't flowing easily right now.

hope the band and crew had a great time in the city. 8 down 5 more to go.

Had a great time at these shows. I had a last minute trip up to SF, and was happily surprised to see DSO playing that weekend! I hadn't seen them in almost ten years. The venue was amazing, and the playing out of this world (so great to see Baracco and Mattson playing again!)

My question for the regulars - what are the chances these AUDs end up on etree or lma? I've noticed that there aren't any recent shows avail from either (though I did see mics set up)

Thanks!

making me smile remembering that this was the first time we posted together when mango used my setlist to start this thread... little did we know! :D

anyways, enough of that for now, heading into this show was a lot of suspense cause I did NOT have a ticket and I knew it was sold out (this makes the zen art of miracle asking into the wind to the test) but the winds weren't as necessary and by showtime I had caught up with old friends, made new ones and was all set for the elective set I have been CRAVING. (my first 4 DSO shows were electives!)

The bucket>foolish heart opener just tore my chest open with joy at the freedom racing through my bones along the searing guitar notes that then melted into those joyful warnings we are always so eager to ignore. box and cassidy both lightened my feet got the spirit nice and risen. evangeline always makes me think of YOU, Evangeline (will I see you in sometime bw the benefit and terrapin nation, I HOPE SO!) and I look at Jeff and get really silly and giggle and its always so fun and then straight into next time you see me just got me all giddy as I danced out my situation (this was played at my first show so gets me going). O

dd been asking the universe for my LL supplication so getting it my last night of my first SF run (you guys! my first 69, a sweet 76 w mission thrown in and THIS elective could just be my fave weekend of music EVER! what could compare?!) was just exactly perfect and I twirled and laughed and chanted and got completely caught up in the moment. Sunshine had me reminiscing state bridge (can't wait for the CO shows this summer!) and woman enough started getting me thinking about all the times I've had a man and heard the song and that I really liked hearing it single cause I can dance without relating so personally and the loss of ego during an obviously ego born song was an interesting vibration to carry for sure.

the karan sit in songs were heavenly and groovy at once and as usual it was fun to hear another musician play with my favorites.

danced waaaay too hard for shakedown (mango called it and made me write it before it started which played out well in his favor this time) and man smart women smarter, but the good mornin lil schoolgirl just took my bones to a new inner level of joy as I think it is one of my favorite DSO moments- rob up there lil schoolboying it. good times! we are gonna do a count of what ages pig says, though, cause I SWEAR he says 13 not 17 most often dammit.... hehe

from the perfectly marvelous terrapin to the lovin' I was totally in another world where music, magic and the stars are one with every being that has ever walked the earth (sober night, btw, lol) so when it became world to give my whole heart just bottomed out and I did everything I could to not think of a certain someone and trying to enjoy these moments of singular oneness with the music as I realize this music has done everything for me and I have no problem continuing to do everything for it. sooo amazing, you guys, just simple musical melodic mana. topping THAT second set with gdtrfb absolutely STUNNED me into that next level of ecstasy and I just have to say THANK YOU for topping of my soul with that kind of dessert.

werewolves was the ONLY choice and delivered in harmonious exuberance!

thank you SF and thank you every person that made this weekend the best weekend ever. from the stay in the epic apartment with old friends (oh chuckles seeing you is gonna help us BOTH make SO MANY more shows!) to the walks in haight with people i only know because of this music to the drive to the beach with other friends I would only know because of this music...... I just can't even put in words how much this peaked my soul.

after this weekend I called the guy I was supposed to go back with after s cruz to move in with and told him I had to fly out at least once a month for shows and he said ok so i was stoked to get myself back on track. my journal entries from this weekend are rainbow splatterings of adoration for this music, joy of long lost connections, and noticings that a certain friend I was riding with sure had grown a lot since last we danced on that other coast with our foolish little hearts so entangled in the wrong folks.

we headed out to petaluma with a new passenger who I immediately adored and the three of us could talk of nothing but the music we had seen and what we were preparing ourselves for in the epic shows to come. we went and checked out a bunny off the san enselmo exit and def decided we'd name him tom thumb blues (red colored w blue nose angora fuzzy boy!) when we got him (which we did when we returned from AZ and there are pics of him on our FBs lol)

my ONE NIGHT in arcata had turned into a trip into the city I wanted to see a show in the most and I still had 2 more nights planned.... count down but still heads up!
