Born Cross Eyed free show at Moondance 7-9pm Amphitheatre Lexington KY Touch, Dancin, Bertha, Used to Love Her, Queen Jane, Mama Tried>Mexicali, TJed, Minglewood, BEW, LLR, Deal, Throwing>NFA. I Shall Be Released. Temp started out 95 and we didn't get any shade until LLR. Seemed like everyone I talked with was at their first show and impressed. Ridiculous how many people are getting their first show considering they been playing constantly since 1991. Kinda a free show setlist with nothing deep. I thought fer sure they were saving the Scarlet Fire. Everyone was affected by the heat and the sun bearing down. The band remarked it was hot on their shaded stage.

Both Aaron and Garcia did the work they needed to do here in 53 yrs. I've thought through the years and came to peace at times thinking "Jerry didn't need to deal with what's happened since he left" His work was done here during the time he was alive. 'He's walking the streets of pure gold'. Aaron did tremendous work here and now he's 'joined the heavenly fold'. I never would have met you Tea if Aaron didn't insist, not taking no, that I come up to Indy when you came in for the Hyryder weekend. He said "free ticket, place to stay", realizing I probably won't meet you, Tea, at the Jubilee, so I hit the road and caught the second set, then back at the BnB he and I stayed up past everyone talking shop. He did the same when Poetry Girl came in for her Hyryder weekend otherwise I never would have recognized her at my first Jubilee. I know I didn't rank high on his totem pole, but he welcomed me in to his home on the way back from the cancelled DSO Minglewood Hall show in Memphis, invited me to the DSO after show party in the Uptown Lounge after last year's Riveria show in Chicago, introduced me to some of his best hometown friends, coached me through a break up and always made everything work (Like mentioned above). He confided in me, when Meili was pregnant, that this was the greatest thing he could hope for at age 51. Shine on you crazy diamond is the song Jonathan was dancing to in the video clip I was fortunate to receive. His ways and means and the trenchtown work he did in 53 years furthered the love we all share. He did extremely well as a human being with a huge heart

He got me to go to my first Hyryder show at Riverfront Live October 20, 2020 and my first jubilee having me drive in with him at gates and two other veterans to form a big living room area with our four cars on the corners. He wished he lived closer to me because he wanted to jump in my car and ride up late Friday just in time for DSO's 8:30 start.

A good friend that I came to love, talked me out of it last year, his friend here in Cincinnati, Danny, grew up with him in Paducah, texted me and is going to keep me updated

I wish they had gone further than the abrupt stop at Z2 and although it was advertised as "never before seen footage" I've had all that material since the 90's. It was nice though to see it on the IMAX screen and through the theater sound system. I love the part where they play Communications Breakdown at the community theater with all the housewives putting their hands over their young ones ears. The band is raging and just playing to each other solidifying their commitment to trying to create the best music possible without worrying about audience response. Very similar to the grateful dead's approach. I can vivdly remember my Wednesday night show in Cincinnati with Jimmy in his white dragon suit. Saw SRTS when it came out in 76, then the concert in 77. Then the next time seeing SRTS I was disappointed with all the offstage footage ~ I was hooked on live concerts from then on. However, now, I highly recommend folks to watch SRTS and the YouTube 2022 remastered Sept Seattle 77 show. Definitely a touring band similar to Jerry in that as the tour progressed the music got better. Glad you finally checked it out. Now go watch SRTS and Seattle 77(remastered version) and if you can, the newly remastered director's cut of Earl Court 75🔥🔥🔥
