  7. Old School Themed Elective Don't have the full list yet so I'll wait until someone posts it. Judging from the songs I do know, it looks like it would've been right up my alley 🤩 Sorry I missed it but happy for those that didn't 😁

  9. Not a huge fan of this venue but they can't all be The Anthem. Security was mostly chill - a few crowd control measures that were unnecessary but eventually they calmed down and let folks do their thing. After the first couple songs, Bill K & I decided to sacrifice a little sound for the freedom to jump and spin. 1st set was really tight from the jump and was pleased that my energy was right there - even after standing in a field for 8 hours cheering on my kids to precede the show. Every song was it's own adventure for me (even without vitamins)! Nice to see El Paso come up and that one was a romp! Silky, spacy Bird Song and a poignant Box of Rain were my favorite of the set. That was until Playin came up. They featured it prominently a couple shows ago - far from a bad penny, this one had all the ooze, melt, and spacy that makes me swoon! Shit - if they play that song like they just did, feel free play it every damn show - don't mind that kinda repeat! Pretty nice spot stage-right to let this music move us - sweaty smiles going into setbreak! 2nd Set was really excellent! Not really a Wave That Flag guy but DSO put it on the map for me. A little more Cowboy until we got to the Dark Star. So many layers and themes to this one which made it a joy to dance to! Love and Light, Darkness and Fear, Happy and Bright, culminating in a full melt before it's structure returned. Simply Aced it! Oh - and then we get treated to a fat and stretched out Eyes that almost felt like another dark star towards the end as it bounced back and forth from Joy to Fear and back again! I love when the band does that - just bleeping with us. A haunting and deliberate China Doll was a great way to forge ahead - even as heartbreaking as that song is. The closing salvo almost had a desperate energy to it - at least me desperately trying to keep up with the pace. Around x 2 started compactly before breaking forward with all of the fanfare! Out of breath now but the band paused for the next song. Thankful. I noticed that the crowd was super quiet here (they suffered from some Low-T in my opinion - pun possibly intended). No hoots, yells, hollers, just quiet. Once of the Rob's asked if we were having a good time which elicited some response but then went quiet again Weird. Well.... They simply ripped that GDTRFB > OMSN. Ripped it. NOW the crowd was like holy bleep and the cheers yelling and screaming started filling in between the notes. Casey had a similar effect until Lisa brought the house down for Piece of my Heart ❤! It was a really great show for me with really inspired dancing for Bill K and other usual suspects! Even though I felt like the band deserved a more spirited crowd given how excellent they sounded, it was a really great night and I'm super thankful for DSO and crew! I've been travelling on the toughest road of my life so I really, really needed what DSO and dancing friends delivered. THANK YOU 🥰
  10. Great to see you again! Really, really fun stuff ⚡️

  12. The Seven?! Looks like you had The Main Ten covered over the last 2 😁 Been on a field from 730a till now cheering on the Jordan Dirty Birds Ultimate Frisbee team. My rising 8th grader got to play for the high school team, play with his brother, and managed scored the final point of the tournament! What a Mothers Day present. I’m exhausted - hoping to see Bill K in Raleigh 2Nite for some dancing inspiration ❤️

  14. Sound last weekend was no bueno. Bummed - was looking forward to the homecoming from Skull n Roses. Glad they try to stream all of ‘em tho
  15. Check out this Nora Jones-esque Brokedown. 7:35 of video - You’re Welcome
  16. 7/28/73 recreation! That'll be one hell of a Mountain Jam...
  17. You might misunderstand: I would take DSO over all-comers - not even a debate. Dead+Co had a great night, that's it. Happy to be seeing DSO in my neck of the woods next week - it's been too long and I can't freaking wait!
  18. I'm far from a D+C homer and been pretty critical just like everyone else who loves what they love and want it that way. Very good effort and result from D & C for 5/8/23! I listened to both sets and they really ramped it up during Estimated and then never looked back. 2nd set was excellent! If they were pumping out stuff like this nite after nite, I would try much harder to see them. Prolly a flash in the pan but it was worth spending the time!
  19. Agreed - very good blues guitarist - that's about as far as I'll go.. Why did you have to bring up Mayer's 'O-face' ? Then it forces me to do this:
  20. Newbs gonna newb - that's just how it goes. Thank you for enduring my considerable ignorance. Did you know that John Mayer had a successful solo career before gracing D + C? He was also one of the original Swifties 😮
  21. "She gets PTO whenever she asks, right? Right!?! RIGHT?!?!"
  22. Gotta say D & C crushed it last night. Very enjoyable and they were feelin it! If they play like that for the 'Last Tour' then folks are going to be in for a real treat. Note to self: YouTube live comments are the literal dregs of the internet - as if I didn't already know that Literally hundreds and hundreds of comments bout Joe Rogan being dead and then weaving Joe Rogan puns into setlist songs - so bleeping weird. There were many on there who either forgot to take their meds or took too much of their meds. It was a total looney-bin but the music was surprisingly excellent!
