Ahhhh . Chasing! Once the bug bit me hard it was Scarlet > Fire and Morning Dew. Had some tough luck 88-89 and then those 2 followed ME for a spell. Got lucky for a nice stretch in 90 - 91! It helps once your show count goes way up

The Chapel Hill tour stop had a good deal to do with me deciding to live here (since 1995)! The final choice was between Austin, TX and Chapel Hill, NC. Both are great towns, but I knew being closer to my parents would be a pivot point... I can't believe how unprepared the town was for the circus 😜 Camping out on the quad was a good time even if the police didn't agree. Chapel Hill and CalExpo later in the Spring of 1993 were the last good/great shows I would see. There were some great moments to come but it felt like just moments instead of whole shows..... Thanks for posting this, Bill ❤️
  6. Thanks, DD. The brain cells governing my comprehension ability are missing, apparently. They grow back, right?
  7. I had forgotton about that Long Beach show but fairly certain they didn't play Scarlet > Fire. Maybe a standalone Scarlet but not the combo. If that's true, it's likely gotta be in 1978 - sometime after Jerry's laryngitis ?
  8. My reading comprehension needs some work - now I got it. I'm going to Fall of 1977 (October?) - The Paramount show in Portland, OR with the Casey Jones and Duprees bustouts....
  9. It goes way back with Mickey doing the lyrics - this was a filler on a tape I traded. I'm going to say 1970.
  10. Elective - IN THE SNOW ❄️ now I got it Set 1: Cold Rain And Snow ; Jack Straw ; West L.A. Fadeaway ; You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man) ; The Shape I'm In ; Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance ; Casey Jones Set 2: Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Here Comes Sunshine > Why Don't We Do It in the Road? > China Cat Sunflower > Saint Stephen > I Know You Rider > Iko Iko > One More Saturday Night An Outdoor show in March (in NY) is a dangerous game to play 😎. Looks like they had a blast - hope their equipment survived

  14. I’m a reasonable guy. Everyone gotta make their money and in a perfect world, it would go mostly the band and a slice to the management company Live Nation asks for near mid-30’s for a ticket which is a great value for the DSO experience. With fees it’s 60+. Bands gotta make a living and I’m willing to pay more to support them. BUT you got fees that are MORE than the ticket? Fuck that bullshit monopoly. Laid bare greed like that and you get a couple clownshow congressional hearings? It’s like the pharmaceutical industry pricing model model put a chokehold on ticketing/entertainment approach I support DSO and their representation - they deserve a lucrative deal for their talent but the Live Nation cartel is bad for all of us. Bleep those Bleeps. <end rant>

  16. I saw them in Raleigh at a pretty small place (Pour House ~250) and it was a real good time! Jill stole the show for me - she's seems like a very humble and positive person - she made time for everyone that wanted to chat het up. I think they'll be at Skull & Roses so if you're lucky enough to be going - definitely worth your time ❤️

  18. He does have an amazing catalogue - dood can straight up play anything. While he’s an undeniable talent, I’m not moved to see him constantly. Couple shows here and there for me
  19. I didn’t register for the forums until 2009 but I did see the post show reviews and comments for 5/19/07. Let’s just say the mood from those posts was exasperated giddiness and there was zero doubt that an all-timer had just dropped. I’m coming up empty for an online link to 5/19. I didn’t find it amongst my CD’s but I did find some mystery thumb drives I need to explore. Somebodys gotta have it…
  20. Wanna find a needle in a haystack? Here is a sample link to an achived forum page http://www.dsoforums.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11511 If you change the show topic number slightly, it will give a landing page for other archived forum pages. Cant find anything before 1/2010 - but I know there was a Rams Head Appreciation Thread (started by Chuck) that had a link to the show. I remember the landing page was a SoundCloud-esque page with ‘Beach’ in the title for some weird reason. That represents my file dump on 5/19/07 forum content. Now I have a headache. Ill find it… I need the distraction. Some real life stuff is at my doorstep…
  21. I stole a stripper's kid. It was like taking baby from a Candi.
