Fun show! Like taking a step way back to 1969. Rob does a great job on the Pigpen vocals and Lisa does great on the harp! It’s amazing. DSO takes the stage, the music starts, and I am transformed into a teenager again! So grateful for all the music and love that DSO lays on us!

Yes indeed, she did. That leaves only me to blame.....

So I can’t react to any posts for some reason. Anyone else?

This venue was fabulous! 15 min drive from the peninsula pf downtown Charleston along the banks of the Cooper River. We took in lovely breezes this time of year with ample space for good visibility. Picnic blankets, cane creek chairs and happy people littered the lawn in front of a fabulous stage. oh where to begin! I took my daughter to her first DSO show, though she has a little deadhead resume seeing the Jerry’s birthday celebration at Red Rocks Bob Weir put on and some southern D&Co shows but she really loved the scene that is DSO. We hullabaloo’d last night! And i t was a real unexpected blast to see Vince and Sue!! The band gave us he psychedelic download and we walked in the transitive nightfall of into diamonds. The Dark Star was so crafted, spinning crystalline sound folding in again and again like orgami. The guy bothering us durimg Lovelight finally got the message we weren’t there to meet him, in the middle of a song!! and rather dance and hear the music. The sweet people up front folded us in and there was a real dance party going on. Nothing to me caps a show like William Tell and the Eleven. No more time to tell how This is the season of what Now is the time of returning With our thought jewels polished and gleaming! When Lauren and I were leaving, a lady stopped us. It was her first of a Grateful Dead kind of show. She said she took in the scene and was figuring out what it was about. She said watching us dance and really express the music made it make sense. Wow! What a compliment. May the golden road bless us all. Mama tried. 🤣

I understand being a prisoner of the moment . I also understand recency bias. BUT that Throwing Stones was one for the ages! I got so enthralled by it that I forgot what song they were playing. What was so cool about it was how deliberate they were performing it. It was an amazing contrast. Not missing a single note (and the notes they didn’t play) and then it devolved into this chaotic shredfest, before morphing into a decidedly different song. They played around with this dark theme for a bit - it snaked around and then slammed back all together with one glorious bass-ripping note. So fucking cool 😎 Swiss watch kinda stuff. Smiles for Miles ❤️

Iko, Strange Man, Birdsong>Music, BTW, all first set highlights. The whole second set a highlight. Opening with Love Will Make you do got juices flowing thru the whole crowd. Eyes>Estimated a delightful variation, and the Corrina was an absolute funkfest. Bestest of times spinnin with my tribe! Thanks to the band and crew!

Such a great show in a beautiful venue. DSO always brings the party and they didn’t let us down. Thanks so much for keeping the music alive and present in our lives. Dancing to the Dead has been one of the greatest sources of healing and joy throughout my life. So thankful that I can still go to the special place that the music still takes me to. Thanks for keeping us dancing!

Great show! Touching for Asheville, Box of Rain, Let Me Sing your blues away, and the crowd really cut loose to Music Never Stopped. It was a beautiful thing!! So many changes. Everywhere. Nothing like a good show to reiterate true north. The power or music to bring people together is where it is at. There was a gentleman juggler in the crowd that juggled expertly while I danced to Estimated that was pretty much everything!! The height of fun!! And surely, we all need fun! Fabously spring, Asheville brought sweet breezes as the sun peeked in and out of the clouds, just like familiar faces peeked in and out of the crowd. Thank DSO and crew! A good time had by all. And what Tea said. 😄

Original Recipe Hell in a Bucket, Iko-Iko, Cassidy, Dire Wolf, Strange Man, Black Throated Wind, Box of Rain, Let Me Sing Your Blues Away, Bird Song > Music Never Stopped That’s What Love Will Make You Do, Feel Like a Stranger, Eyes of the World > Estimated Prophet > Drums > Imagine Space > Corrina > The Wheel > Standing on the Moon > Truckin E: Volunteers Lisa is my Queen ❤️ Strange Man absolutely brought down the house proper reviews coming but need to max out on postgame fun. Love the looks of that set list… sounds like it was quite a blast! ya’ll keep enjoying yourselves out there, ya hear?!

So good to be with you brother! Had to retreat to some pretty nice open dance space (Ed needs about 100sqft) in the back on the wood floors. To say this was a barn burner wouldn’t do it justice. Well played DSO. Sound and lights were money too!

For sure a fun time along with several good friends. I was on the rail right in front of Jeff for the whole first set. Second set was setting in ADA just off the left side of stage.

Where did you watch the show? The balcony?A private room?   sounds like a fine time!! 🌹

The Grateful Dead environment has strange and interesting things happening. I was just feeling fine as we approached the Tabernacle and the gathering crowd. There was a man with a large beautiful Madagascan lemur , gray any white, on one shoulder and a parrot on the other. We got to talk with them for a while. Approaching the check in inspection place it got more puzzling for instead of the normal shakedown I was set to the side and this nice security man was telling me his name was Michael too. But at that time no one had looked or scanned my phone tickets. Maybe he knew me from past times, I don t know. He explained they would take care of us and take us in. The next thing i knew a lady was putting us on an elevator. It was small with just enough space for Jill and I. I had to hold a button and we were carried up higher and higher and then we were escorted to the front of the room. After the show when we split from other friends they escorted us out the back stage area. Outside the same security folk walked us through some security area and opened a gate to the street scene but behind the Tabernacle. They treated us like we were their grandparents or something. Eventually we caught an Uber and after starting out Bruce shyly asked if we could drive around the front of the Tabernacle. Turns out he was looking for a lady he had met. She had told him they should meet out front. Sadly we could not find her among the remaining deadheads still partying on the sidewalk. Peace and Love, Doc

Looks like a smoker. Enjoy the ride. Praise DSO.
