The virus isn't political, so it doesn't belong in this thread. Vaccines are available, get it if you want to be protected, don't if you're willing to risk it, your choice. Just don't make me mask because some people don't want to get vaccinated

Well, at least there's a conversation. Most of the music we love was written during the build up and ultimate disaster of the Vietnam war. A failure of both parties. At the time, the United States achieved one of the most technical and logistical challenges in history by landing a few people on the moon, and returned them safely to Earth.
If you think the Trump "experiment" was good for this country, I disagree. We've never been more at odds - with violence and mayhem at every corner. COVID may have actually saved the nation by isolating each other, and forcing us to have a semi "mandatory" cool down period.
But, no, joking that you're going to Texas to sell coat hangers is a vile and awful thing to say, even as a joke. I'm assuming you are single. If not, you should be. Perhaps that's why you are so bitter.
The founders called us an "imperfect union". True that. However, when calls to violence lead to the storming of our Capitol to disrupt our democracy, we're one step away from a massacre. Then, will you be there to mop up the carnage? Nah. You'll be buying coat hangers to mock women who were raped. Sad.
In my opinion, the biggest problem today is that both sides label anyone from the other as an extremist. Most people in this country fall somewhere in the middle. As someone from the Midwest it is very frustrating to see how the political class seems to cater to the coasts. I also find it fascinating how a block of people can swing from one party to the other. Southern democrats turned into Republicans, working class people around the Midwest are now Trump Republicans. I say they are Trump Republicans because they are only voting Republican because of him, his persona and message. They aren't fiscal conservatives or limited government people, just like that he seems to know they exist. Democratic politicians shoot themselves in the foot by coming across as arrogant people that think they know what's best for you without asking you what you think. That is a big turn off for working class people in this part of the country.

I just want to thank the band and crew for coming to Cincy for a two night run. The weather and shows were fantastic. As previously mentioned, the sound was fantastic. Good to see all the usual suspects and meet some new ones. Really hope this keeps up without interruption through the colder months.

From what I've seen, any rain should be early Saturday, I predict good weather both nights. Like the early start time but don't think show will start until 7, plan to show up around 5:30

So like the 50th best Dso Show? A top 5 dew for sure in 5-8-77. If you don’t think it’s a top 5 dew we need to talk. Ultimate Sbd quality passed arouNd on tape skewed many opinions. If we are going best Eaton Dso boards, that 12-1-17 is about as perfect as a board can be. At one point I had a list of the intimate Dso boards based on sound quality but memories fade.
You hit the nail on the head, 5-8-77 is all about the Dew. For me the show would be 10-30-10. Just great mix of environment (night before Halloween with costumed crowd), mood and show. A good friend dressed up as a member of the "blue man group" and slowly dripped away in the heat of the venue as the night went on, big fun.

Back on topic, I think it's pretty simple. Pick a date, say July 1, and go back to normal shows. By then everyone who wants to get vaccinated will have had the chance. Those that don't, understand the risk and can take that risk if they want to go to a show

Has anyone seen this band? Worth going to see? Looks like they are coming to Cincy in a few weeks.
