If the Bengals win - will you go to work the next day, Brad?  I thought I heard local schools will be closed Monday - not sure if some private industry there is following suit

My wife is a teacher and off work of course. I will go into work but probably not until 8 or 9 (usually go in around 6:30). However,  if we win all bets are off

I currently have 3 sons in college 2-5 hours away and all came home this weekend for the game

  2. I realized when getting tickets for the Newport show today that this new venue will be the 6th venue in the cincy area I've seen DSO play. Bogart, Coney (Moonlight gardens), Taft,  Riverfront live,  Madison and now Ovation. That's a lot of different venues for one city but they have been playing here since 98

My buddy is like Burrow won the game. I’m like bro, Tennessee was driving. Your defense won the game. Burrow refused to throw the ball away and took 9 sacks. On at least 3-4 of those he should have thrown it away and he took a sack in FG range end of the game that forced a punt when it was tied 16-16. The only thing you can’t do at the 35 is take a sack. If your 1st read isn’t open on 3rd at the 35, you throw it away.

He definitely should have thrown a few away,  I suspect he will learn from that.

  4. Any thoughts on the NFL playoffs? I'll be going to Bengals v Raiders tomorrow hoping to break the curse of Bo Jackson. I think the home teams do better this year than usual with only Bills and Rams losing

Three contenders. For all different reasons.

I've always loved "Who Was John" and was thrilled when they busted it out on 2/8/2013:

DSO 2/8/2013 Madison Theater, COvington, KY

China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Beat It On Down The Line ; When Push Comes To Shove ; Never Trust A Woman ; Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again ; Who Was John? ; Hell In A Bucket ; Cats Under The Stars ; Box Of Rain

    Set Two:
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower ; Man Smart (Woman Smarter) ; Unbroken Chain > drums > space > So Many Roads > I Need A Miracle > Hey Jude > Casey Jones

    Encore:
    Mister Charlie ; Brokedown Palace

I concur with Tea regarding 5/23/2015

    DSO, 2015-5-23 Jubilee

Set One: Sittin On Top Of The World ; Morning Dew ; Beat It On Down The Line > Good Morning Little Schoolgirl ; Doin' That Rag ; Cryptical Envelopment > Drums > The Other One > Cryptical Envelopment > Death Don't Have No Mercy

Set Two: Dupree's Diamond Blues > Mountains Of The Moon > Dark Star > St. Stephen > The Eleven > Turn On Your Love Light

Filler: Easy Wind > Viola Lee Blues

This show at the Taft Theatre was DSO at their finest:

DSO, 2/26/16 Taft Theater, Cinci, OH (Performing 10/31/1983)

Wang Dang Doodle > My Brother Esau ; Peggy-O ; Little Red Rooster ; Brown Eyed Women ; Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance > Deal

Set Two: Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower ; Estimated Prophet > Eyes Of The World > Drums > Space > Saint Stephen > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away

    Encore: Revolution

    Filler: Werewolves Of London

I was at all of these and all great shows, but I'll go with 10-30-10 at the Madison theater in Covington

    1. Morning Dew,  MAMU, Doin' that Rag>He was a friend of mine,  Hard to Handle,  Cosmic Charlie,  Cryptical>drums>other one>Cryptical

    2. China Cat>Sitting on top of the world>Dark Star>St. Stephen>Eleven>Lovelight

Filler. Hurts me too,  Bid you goodnight

First 69 show for me,  we'd been clamoring for it and they started playing them around then, gamechanger for sure

BS69 do you want to take cincy +13.5 for 2 tickets to dso Newport? I like Bama giving up the points. If you post “yes” before game time we have a bet!

You're on! I've got $100 on the moneyline paying $410. Coincidentally my championship game ticket will cost me $439 if we make it. A Bearcats win could mean a few nice tickets for me.

Its the people that work the shows that also want to reschedule phish /wide spread/ yonder/ lotus/billy strings/left over salmon/carl denson/ max creek/tauk/government mule/lettuce/infamous string dusters/THEY ALL CANCELED/ARE RESCHEDULING THERE NEW YEARS RUN i bought 3 tix with insurance and the insurance company is screwing me and not going to reimbursement my $$$ so i tried to sell them and they are the best floor seats you can get and nobody wants to go because of this fucking virus i go to almost every palace theater show probably 40 of them but its not safe and i am vaccinated and boosted this sucks and i am a real dead head my first show was 1978

Mike,  this is the problem. If people like you don't feel safe when they are vaccinated and boosted,  there can be no shows ever again. Covid is endemic and will always be with us,  we need to learn how to live with it. The evidence shows that you are at minimal risk if vaccinated,  i am and feel safe. Who are we protecting by shutting things down?
