  1. Never said they were better or even rivaled DSO šŸ¤ Not sure why what other bands I like matters to you so much - itā€™s kinda weird TBH. DSO is the best purveyor of this music - no objections from me. Great show tonight! They were feelin it - sounded great on Nugs
  2. Winterland, Feb 1974. Donā€™t know the exact date but heard the show before. Crystal clear on Nugs stream. That was one tough ticketā€¦
  3. It's pseudo-official now. Specific dates still to be released but it will begin in May. https://packaged-media.redd.it/cynirhmjjsfc1/pb/m2-res_1222p.mp4?m=DASHPlaylist.mpd&v=1&e=1706731200&s=bceeae4e210a8b064b989a5e52d61103f995ee13#t=0 NY Post - Dead & Co. will come back to life this spring with a 14-show residency at James Dolanā€™s Las Vegas Sphere, The Post has learned. The $2.3 billion Sphere ā€” which the owner of the Knicks and Rangers spun off from Madison Square Garden last April ā€” has been looking to book a long-running act to follow U2 after their 40-show run ends in March. Dead & Co., which includes former Grateful Dead founding member Bob Weir and guitarist John Mayer, will begin their residency in May, according to a source close to the situation. The deal is expected to be announced this week, the source added. Sphere spokespeople declined to comment. A rep for Dead & Co. didnā€™t immediately comment. That venue looks cool but it doesn't seem remotely conducive to a grateful dead musical experience. I know, I know - the band isn't very conducive either. Ha-Ha-Ha. They're not my cup of tea and I would not make the sacrifice to get to Vegas, but I still love Bobby and am interested to see how this all goes. I'm curious if anyone is gonna give it a spin......
  4. BillK > Glad you out there and with some of the best company there is ā¤ļø Song choices look cool - along with a rocket ship to the moon to close it out! Jeezus. Enjoy the run - pretty sweet kickoff āš”ļø

  6. Thursday's show is being offered for free for Nugs.net subscribers. 7-day free trial offer - just so you know. This show is sold out and an extremely tough ticket. The only downside? 11p start for Eastern time zone on a Thursday - Ouch. You Westies catch all the breaks (well, except yearly show-count). Who needs sleep anyway.... https://www.nugs.net/live-download-of-dark-star-orchestra-the-guild-theatre-menlo-park-ca-02-01-2024-mp3-flac-or-online-music-streaming/36027-WEBCAST.html
  7. None taken. Been living the family man life for awhile and Hyryder plus local GD music has been my salvation. Otherwise Iā€™d be seein more DSO shows Forever indebted to DSO for helping me get to a new plane of post-Jerry. Thereā€™s a reason I was brought to tears back in 2003 EDIT: Theres more time Iā€™ve spent with DSO than the GD - even if the show count is 2-to-1 GD. Life was different then šŸ˜€
  8. Fanboy accusation? guilty as charged <err> I plead he 5th. Very kind Hyryder community - some good peoples over there! congrats on the Peanut ā¤ļø. Have fun at skull n roses
  9. Old skool elective on Sat Nite? Youā€™re in the right spot for it tho. Gonna be a blast no matter šŸ’„
  10. Iā€™ll stop. Fanboy stuff I know. I also know this music pretty well - Donā€™t always mean Iā€™m right but dem boys know whatā€™s up
  11. Guessing (publicly) a show before it starts is a fools errand - but it's FUN! So I'm gonna go with (2) choices: The one that I hope you get that you have some chance of getting (heart) and the one that's slightly more possible (head). Heart - 1974/07/19 Head - 1984/10/27 Enjoy all the backyard shows!
  12. Was there a Who was John in there? a Tangled Up in Blue? Walkin Blues? I'm seeing some different setlists for the same show. Weird.
  13. DD also got a Take a Letter, Maria (first time played) before Brokedown. Glad you had funnnnnn!
  14. My favorite non-primal opener. Hope DD is gettin the goods - I got no imbedded reporting
  15. Happy for DSO and Sage & Spirit! Can't post the daily lineup because the forum now makes most features unavailable to me for some reason. Not as happy for the Hyryder slot on Friday. I know they ain't near headliner material but I've seen GGW, Stu Allen, Zach Nugent, and usually catch the weekly Monday stream of EWB. ALL talented artists but their placement must have little to do with their raw talent and performative abilities. Management companies, relationships, politics, festival location, and perceived tenure seem to hold the a greater weight in this case. Either way - should be a fun time for those that can make it.
  16. Have lots of ideas of what DSO might perform for you tonight but don't wanna jinx it too much. I'm gonna go with a Cold Rain and Snow opener. Have a blast DD
  17. Happy Birthday, JEFF! So thankful for DSO and your contributions to help make this band what it is today! I'd post some cool photos if I could but this site doesn't like it when I use anything other than my phone to post. Oh well - Here's an emoji party instead: I hope you have a relaxing day doing the things you love - with the people you love!

I've rarely seen such a precipitous in-season tailspin than what the Eagles just went through. It was the confluence of a lot of things, I'm guessing. Putting Matt Patricia in charge of the defense will be something Sirianni would like back. Also, it would not surprise me if you find Hurts going under the knife in the offseason to deal with multiple injuries. He just didn't look right as the season wore on. Some of it could also be teams having enough film on Hurts to successfully scheme against his weaknesses. Whatever the reason, it looked to me like a team that had given up on their coach. Winning is the great deodorant - when it's goin good, you can overlook some smoke. When stuff like this happens, players and fans can turn on you quickly. Not sure how you bring Sirianni back. There is a remote possibility that we could we see coaching vacancies in the entirety of the NFC East! Wow! Dallas has to give up on McCarthy. You've seen his best, and it's simply not good enough. Belichik in Big D? As long as Bill doesn't want GM duties, it might just happen. He's at a point now where he just wants to break Don Shula's win record and then ride off into the sunset. I'm not gonna pencil in a win at home for Detroit against Tampa, but it is an awfully good situation for the Lions. If Detroit can make Tampa pay for their jailbreak blitzes, they have a legit shot for the privilege to get smoked by the 49'ers.
  25. I swear by that run too - even though I was 9
