  1. I'm not getting on the plane, I'm getting in the plane, you can get on it, but I'll be inside where I feel it's a little bit safer.. thank you very much
  2. Just added 40 shows through 11/23/19 ending up at the Madison in Covington. New album "'Home" coming out 9/27 when he is doing two shows in Portland, clips reveal he's getting into some psychedelic electric guitar work. Halloween is in Asheville this year. After last year's Halloween shinanagins in Seattle, this might be the show to be at, it flows right into a two night stand in Carraboro, NC. Next year he's going international, so get em in while you can!
  3. You got the goods. Tinfoil and Turmoil and a Meet Me at The Creek are quintessential for a solid Strings experience. Maybe someday the Playin' will materialize but for now it's a thread that runs in and out of the garden. He's been tripping the sounds pretty hard lately, still backing with solid fretwork. I believe it's only going to get better. You got ROMP coming up and a festival in Louisville called Railbird. I really wanted to hit Annies for DSO this summer, but that's also my only chance to get Strung out. Such is the quandary of life, nothing comes for free, there seems to always be a give and take, and not always an easy choice as the years start growing behind us.
  4. Did the 80's seperation begin with the legendary Friday the 13th 1984 Greek scarlet touch fire with the dark star encore?

BMR has been making the rounds a lot in the bluegrass scene the past few years. A fire alarm where it happened, in HOTW, seems like a place where the band couldn't have planned it better and Tea had community posted "let it burn, let it burn". Think things are aligning with this tour?, esp starting out with a Quinn? Have fun everyone
  6. I Can almost guarantee the summer Cincinnati show is going to be a summer 85 or the second night of Red Rocks 83 leading up to the third at Red Rocks 1983
  7. Cincy has doors at 4:30 and a 6pm show time. Wonder if that means big, long show or early evening out? With Sylvania, there's front row center tickets still available for this Sunday show.
  8. You got a great show, sorry I missed this one. Cats has one of my favorite Melvin parts, along with prudence. Both have tremendous keys. Funny , I didn't go, but woke up this morning feeling a need to play guitar and the first song that showed up for me was tangled up and I hadn't been playing it for a while now. Ran through it twice just to get it right before it got shelved again. Mostly playing originals now and wild horses (for some strange reason, maybe because it's easy) thanks for the list duck!
  9. Thank you! Sometimes, maybe, warm up bands should play after for those that want to keep going. When they open it can make for a long night standing on the concrete dance floor
  10. Live Dead '69 is at Bogart's Saturday night here in cincy. Dud you see them yet duck?

  12. just saying "there won't be any mention in the news of the world about the life and times of a red dirt girl, at least not for lilian, who never got any further than across the lines of meridian....
  13. Yeah and if the song played was actually Red Dirt Girl (and not Read Dirt Girl), it is one of Emmylou's masterpieces which deserves a correct notation/spelling. Thanks for posting the list though. It's nice to see what's being played. gotta run, here comes the boss
  14. End of spring tour. Mixlr, home, search, Billy Streams. Tonight's show is Jackson, Mississippi. It's been starting around 9 est for the 8 o'clock shows. Ladt night in Birmingham started at 9 CST, 10 est opened with Senor and he's getting it down, Rude, not messing up Dylan's lyrics, we still got some gems coming up at Jackson and lake Charles tomorrow night. Free sbd feed , the pre concert and between set music is crazy good,
  15. Damn, that album got around, I was just blown away by the soundboard quality, exceptional wheel and shakedown. Back to Seattle 1988, maybe they knew the sound was horrendous and just threw out the common material of the times, saving anything special for an acoustically better venue. There's not anything from the Alpine 88 breakouts....believe it or not, (wasn't Victim an 88 start?, foolish heart? Take you home? ect..) The Tacoma dome might have been similar to the Metrodome in Minneapolis in 1986 with the one set 20 song show. You're not going to find a good audience tape of that summer show with Dylan and Tom Petty. If you do let me know. I really wanted it for a long time after being there just because of the opening Gimme Some Lovin with Mickey on the gong. That place rolled the sound around in a big ol echo cloud. It's nice DSO took a bad sounding GD show into a small venue to give it justice. That's some thoughtful set planning.
  16. Safe travels everyone, weather reports big snow in the area
  17. with music, sea and sand all is good
  18. If Marcus is on Saturday, could be a Strings and Kings throw down. Might get a hey Joe or a get out of my life woman
  19. I want to live in a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.
  20. Chicago and Louisville are now sold out
  21. Nice sense of exploration in his approach which is what kept me interested in the dead
  22. He's got intelligence and dexterity. When talking about doing jerry songs, he's passionate about getting it right. The Freebird played on Halloween is incredible considering he does the lead parts for the three who used to play in Skynyrd. YouTube 10/31/18. This guy is quick and is getting his catalog up to a 1,000+ Still got $12.00 ticket available for the upcoming Headliners in Louisville.
