I was thinking about this the other day (okay, so maybe I have too much time on my hands, although it sure doesn't feel that way!). The category is songs that Garcia played or sang that reference some kind of road. When I first thought about it, I had no idea how long the list would be. Breaking it into two sub categories, here's what I have thus far:

References in the song title:

Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad

Shakedown Street

Like a Road

So Many Roads

Positively 4th Street

Why Don't We Do It In The Road

On The Road Again

Lazy River Road

References in the lyrics:

Mexicali Blues ("flies and children on the streets" / "dusty streets"

Estimated Prophet ("rainbows end down that highway")

Throwing Stones ("strolls the sidewalks and it rolls the streets")

Lonesome & A Long Way From Home ("out on that open highway" / "this old road keeps rolling on and on")

West LA Fadeaway ("little red light on the highway")

Stella Blue ("down every lonely street")

New Speedway Boogie ("any other highway to ride")

Uncle John's Band ("when life looks like easy street")

Mission In The Rain ("10 years ago I walked these streets")

Ripple ("there is a road, no simple highway")

Music Never Stopped ("there's a band out on the highway")

Black-Throated Wind ("but I'm here on the road")

Easy Wind ("been chipping up rocks for the great highway")

Loose Lucy ("shadow in the alley") - this is assuming an alley counts.

Standing On The Moon ("down some forgotten street")

What am I missing?!?
