12/2/73 - Boston Music Hall

1: Cold Rain & Snow, Beat It On Down The Line, Dire Wolf, The Race Is On, Brown Eyed Women, Jack Straw, Ramble On Rose, El Paso, Row Jimmy, Big River, Deal, WRS Prelude>WRS Part 1>Let It Grow 2: Wharf Rat>Mississippi Half Step Uptown Toodleloo> Playing in the Band> Jam out of Playing>He's Gone>Truckin'> Stella Blue, Sugar Magnolia E: Morning Dew

Stunning show. DSO always seems to bring it in its home town. Forget that Mattson forgot some words. It's hard to describe how incendiary the WSR suite was. Barraco was fantastic. All that was missing (because it's un-re-creatable and should be missing) is the jam out of PITB from the original show. That's something to behold. A pinnacle of weirdness in its own right. Yet, this show was still fantastic.

I've been going to see this band for over ten years and they always seem to get better.

Mattson is a monster.

The entire band is peaking.

There is nothing but polished and gleaming going on with DSO.

It doesn't matter what song, what show, what era. Anything this band does is golden.
