i see your ISO on CashorTrade. Unfortunately not being a gold member gives gold members a 10 minute head start over you. If you see lots of shows, the $25 annual fee to be a gold member pays off in spades. You’re more likely to respond quicker and many will always sell to the gold member if there are several offers. Every Deadco and panic ticket I’ve ever gotten was well under face value. Deadco lawns are $20 all day on show day. Billy strings recent Bridgestone tickets were selling for $20-30 for 80 face.

There was a point where I wanted to name our little man Levon (lead singer drummer)as I really love that name as well as Levon Helm’s voice and drumming, but figured 95% of the people would think we named him after an Elton John song so didn’t want that. Anyone who does whole tours will hear some songs more than they want, but people just popping a 3 show weekend or doing just 1 show on a tour make up 99% of the audience. I heard the 1st one in Milwaukee and enjoyed it. Life changed and I won’t ever see whole tours again so I don’t expect I’ll get burnt out on any new song.

Curious how fast DSO played the opening Touch when they recreated the 6-15-1985 dead show in 2014 and 2002. That song is so ridiculously fast tempo. If you aren’t familiar with it check it out. It’s so fast, it’s really not played well and would be hard to play well. You can’t really do anything with it at that tempo. You are trying to just not fall off the bus.

Someone’s getting fired in the NFL offices for letting the final score slip out early. 10-0 Chiefs after Q1 is what the NFL has scripted, but the eagles make a comeback b/c the nfl knows it’s good for ratings.

Tahoe in February is risky. I remember us barely making it out of town and the cops checking to see if you had chains on or they wouldn’t let you up the pass to go to Vegas. Dso stopped doing Midwest in winter b/c of all the snow and ice storms and went west but with Tahoe and Colorado you never know if the show will go on this time of year. Saw dso do valley road a few years ago at Cleveland house of blues and had no clue that the dead ever played a Hornsby song with him in the band. set a notification on CashorTrade. It’s never failed me. One year I didn’t get jubilee vip tix early and they sold out and found a pair way under face to boot a couple weeks before. I got Billy strings impossible tix for a 300 seat Christmas party in 2018. Got Phil at terrapin crossroads where I needed a photocopy of their ID and a note stating they sold for face or less. It’s such a great resource I hate to even tell peeps about it. I got panic floors for New Years under face a few weeks back. There’s zero reason to ever buy Panic, Phish, Deadco or Billy strings ahead of time b/c so many tickets get dumped day of show ot week of show.

Losing pollard to a broken leg eliminated any ground game possibility. You have to be able to run to win. It’s how Cincy beat the bills. It’s why the eagles are so good. If the damn kicker had made the 1st xp, we’d have kicked the 50 yarder and there would have been no broken leg 2 plays later and no int a play after. We wouldn’t have been in that spot. And it’s really sad for Pollard. He’s a FA who’d have gotten paid well from someone and now his future is uncertain.

The Dak picks hurt. Not being able to trust the kicker caused us to go for it on 4th down and a play later lost the most explosive player on the field to a broken leg. That was the killer. It was tied up 2nd half but we had no run game and the 49ers defense is brutal if you get one dimensional. Heartbreaking game. Next year zeke is gone and can’t sign pollard with a broken leg. Dallas had limited weapons before pollard went down. Overall depressing game starting with the missed extra point. That took the air out of the game for the boys

Friends accuse me of being biased against Deadco b/c I see so much DSO. I’m biased towards good music. Hyryder is fantastic. I’ve also seen some bad dead tributes who I won’t name. I listen to the music and if it’s good I like it and if it’s not I don’t. It’s pretty simple. I’d love to be in love with Deadco. Think of how many extra shows in cool venues I’d see. It sort of sucks. I’ve seen them in a bunch of cool venues but that tempo just sucks it out of me. Folsom field, Shoreline, wrigley. I tried and tried. It’s not like I didn’t give them a shot. I’ve had fun at most shows but it’s not the musical fun of other bands. It’s the fun of being in a football stadium in the middle of summer with friends seeing a big spectacle.

This year the NFC is much stronger. The eagles and 49ers can both pound the ball and both have elite defenses. My cowboys have a shot if they can block the 4 man rush of the 49ers but that’s a big if like last season where they allowed a whopping 24 QB pressures vs the 49ers.
