  1. love you bro, you’re the man!
  2. They got the experience but Avs look unbeatable, waxing most opponents. I’ll take Avs in 5.
  3. Hell yeah Scottie!! From the small stage in Park City to the big stage 9 months later! So happy he got that shot, I’m sure he killed it!
  4. Hey Doc, after you left there was a flurry of activity in the campground with people breaking down and packing up. I think your campground alarm clock was a positive thing for all but the locals maybe. Got me home before the Canes/Rangers game!! Thanks buddy, so great to see you back in the saddle!!

    Caverns #1

Tea called the TN Jed opener, but as an elective cause none of us could think of a show that opened with it. So right, then so wrong! 🤣😅 This show was a dancers dream. We had really good space in front of the soundboard. There were lots of people but they offered up whatever space our flailings required. Blissfully thought that first set would never end. Not many breaks throughout this show. I needed to find out how bad of shape I’d gotten in during the winter and this show gave me that information.
  6. in addition to the above, There was a Dont Let Go Tough Mama twist of fate box o rain hard to handle sisters and brothers Help us out BillK. He had about 10hr drive today, so prob won’t get that today. What a treat this show was. Hope everyone with the Covid is ok and sorry that had to happen to get this but the remaining members DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This band has solid JGB chops and they really seem to enjoy the departure. Super great weekend in TN with some dancers that inspire the shit outta me. Decent space in front of the soundboard, tho much tighter than Fri night. Love this community, love, love it!!
  7. I’ll be there, and I won’t tell you who’s ticket it was cause you’d be even more disappointed, haha.
  8. Got an extra for Caverns. A two day pass for 5/20,21. I paid $139. Make an offer, I’ll take what I can get. Will transfer digital ticket from Eventbrite. PM if interested.
  9. Happy 51st anniversary of the greatest show ever played by the Grateful Dead! 4-29-71, book it Dano!! ps: also the best hard to handle ever laid down by Jerry!!
  10. He’s got a raging case of integrity. Been suffering from it long as I’ve known him.
  11. Giddy up!!
  12. Daaaaaaamn, it’s an 8hr drive from Charleston to the Caverns, and we don’t have a tour driver for overnight passage!! Wtf.
  13. Yup, that gets the “holy fucksticks I hate I missed that one!!” moniker.
  14. Remember the last time Sunny left me in charge of his kid I let him eat a whole package of cookies. I mean the kid is still alive and I’ll be his hero for life. So, count on me.
  15. They have car camping at the venue this year. Giddy up, old times!
  16. What an absolute treat that night mustuv been!! Wont be many more chances to see Weir at the Warfield!
  17. hey, you can just shove that ignorant comment right up your ass buddy. I’ve seen you tear up to that song before!! Ohhh, you’re just trying to push my buttons,… that’s what it is, cause no way you say something that stupid otherwise.
  18. hey little one should have made it but that song could only be delivered by Jerry in his 20s, so the shelf life was prob a consideration in its sadly short life. No doubt the best of the early stuff.
  19. Gotta throw out the “holy fucksticks” on that set list. I mean damn, that is the goods!!

    Cincy night 1

They did the Layla coda in park city.
  21. If it is the same guy, he’s still at it. He was kind enough to drive me, sunny and rude to see Scotty and the pranksters Friday nite.
  22. This one rung my bell. From the stranger opening to the Jack a roe to a throw down with my boy BillK on blow away and Althea, Skip rippin the broken arrow, Esau and might as well blew out set 1. what can one say about a set 2 that opens with chinacat>Aiko>FGJ>Rider, and it blew up from there. Props to Kenny on the Bring it on Home!, to the Layla, Fantasy, to the Low Spark, to the Piece of my heart, which Lisa stole with the encore!! I don’t know what y’all have heard but this band is fucking killin it!!! 😅 Love, love, love what they do and how they do it!! can’t leave out a mention of Scotty (SML) for dishing out 2 killer after show gigs at the Cabin in Park City. Dude has chops and made a packed bar smile and dance!! more lifetime memories made, love ALL the people in them and the joy they give me! Thanks so much.
  23. Helluva show tonight!! Thanks band and crew for bringin it!!!! Awesome weather and killer crowd and venue. Only bummer was 100% slope dance space. Asheville #2

That was the stuff birthday show dreams are made of. Thanks to a great group of folks, including DSO and crew that made it a weekend to remember. ps: my last birthday show was in 1988 and they played an 88 show (duh) and my second birthday show was in 2021 and they played a 77 show. Maybe my next one will be 2030 and I’ll get a 69!!
