  1. Yo are correct, confirmed, just asked Dino, Ratdog tune
  2. Tasty elective: Bucket Althea Broken Arrow Dupree Passenger Mission By and By (title?)….Eaton needed music stand with lyrics Jack a Roe Blow Away Might as Well Piece of my Heart Foolish Heart Unbroken Chain He’ Gone—> Smokestack Lightning—> D/S—> New Speedway—> Dear Mr. Fantasy—> China Doll—> Satisfaction Strange Man Paramount very small theatre…18 rows downstairs with slightly larger balcony. Rob B all over organ in set 2. He’s gone till end just spectacular. Dancing in space from rail to first row and aisles not challenged which personally enhances my experience. Show dedicated to Phil’s 83…tomorrow’s show will be completely different, or not! Per Barraco
  3. Or wait till Rutland as I will attend those 2 shows 😁
  4. Great intersecting with your never ending tour AC. Zanzibar great little venue…paradise if you enjoy some retro pinball with your dancing. Will definitely c u at Jubilee.
  5. Crowds at Dead & Co are there for the spectacle. Those at Wolf Bros are for the music. The strings, horns, and pedal steel does the Jerry parts justice. BTW came after a Bobby story of him and Barlow creating the tune.
  6. I was also in attendance and thoroughly enjoyed the music. The horn section adds plenty to the tunes. Haven’t heard Money for Gasoline since Ratdog days. I find Mr. Weir a national treasure. Has any human performed live in front of more other humans than he?

    Football

Agreed…the field had an effect on more plays then just 1 fumble or horrific call and is in control of the league. Shameful.
  8. Great…play it one of the Rutland VT shows for me
  9. DSO plays this on my 65th birthday. If I had seen original would have been 11.
  10. Not intentionally? Mechanical failure or Pope method? At least your 21 year sentence with no parole is almost over. Always enjoy seeing (and hearing) you guys.
  11. First concert was Taj Mahal and Linda Ronstadt at Tanglewood Mass. in 1972…I was 13 and was at sleepaway camp Kadima for summer and going to concert was a camp tradition. I also smoked pot for first time at this event and threw up on Southern Comfort and orange soda. First GD was 5/4/77 Palladium, then Englishtown in September than Rochester in Oct than spring tour 78 etc etc…Guy down the hall at Stony Brook blasting Live Dead in quad ad nausea responsible for taking me to the bus stop. First DSO 1/22/99 Louisville….friend I took to his first GD show (Cincinnati 85) “dragged” me there. When JK sung Loser I was in tears of joy. Long strange trip indeed.
  12. Agree with your sentiments. Have seen them a couple dozen times since pre pandemic days. They did great job playing thru pandemic. They do remain a primarily regional act with only sporadic weekend dates. They keep getting better.
  13. Either 85 or 86 Alpine Valley guy went down upfront requiring medics...coincidentally during Playin but Bobby pressed on..." I can't stop for nothing..."
  14. In case you haven't heard... 10/8/81....replay of show 1 Played really well. RB super organ solo during CC Rider. Show stopped during Playin for man down near rail. Tie dyed stranger did serious chest compressions for 10 minutes until medics arrived....saved his life according to band b4 Kevin Rosen took bass for encore. Alls well that ends well. .
  15. Only a 2 hr drive to this venue for me. First row center and oodles of dancing space. Once Heart of Me dropped I knew I was at this show 43 years ago…yikes! Opening Sugaree was stellar…..show encore was one of only 2 Casey Jones I caught live with GD. Bones patched….on to,Chicago
  16. Recover my brother…yes we will dance
  17. Had to go to the American Express office in Richmond to get cash (pre ATM days) to pay scalper unheard of price of $50 for tix to this show after getting get face value for previous night and Columbia SC Halloween the night before that. One of the best 3 day runs in my GD adventures.
  18. The article was about JK and that’s the way he likes it. He thinks he is too important regarding mentioning Eaton or signing hats. To be fair his singing of Loser brought me to tears and began my DSO bus ride in 1999. Lisa is the lone band member remaining from that show.
  19. Hoping my first row balcony tix mitigates oversold issues. Lisa, Jeff, Dino, Skip, Rob, Rob, Rob will be the familiar faces. Look forward to bathroom puffs.
  20. What he said without the platitude or venue reference. Reading your post was like staring at the poster….100 Grateful Dead Songs Stay strong brother
  21. It is Indiana and will add to my Chi/St L itinerary
  22. I was at the event Funk in the City in Evansville. Arts and crafts fair plus live music headlined by a band called JEB. Interestingly enough their first show was Halloween 1997, less than 2 weeks before DSO. As they are now mainly just local they have done some touring and have shared stage with DSO way back. I have seen more JEB shows than DSO and that’s quite a few. The have originals and they do covers including phish, widespread , and dead. Supporting my friends took precedent over Hyryder. Will be seeing two 25 yr anniversary shows with my favorite bands in next 6 weeks.
  23. Condolences to you and family
  24. All set for Chi-St Louis AXS made Vic tickets a struggle but finally was able to complete.
  25. Chicago and St Lou for me seems likely.
