I have 5 shows upcoming and I’m also a bit upset I’ll most likely not get a primal show.

    11/22, 11/25 & 12/28

But then I’ve got 12/30 & 12/31 at Capital Theatre so maybe like last year we will get a third set Dark Star 69 suite.

    Chris’ brother Steve?

Ya the fact still remains non of the other bands got what DSO got and really it's not even close.

that’s true for sure but we have to catch Dso when they come close and can pop an up and back yo Indy for Hyryder on a Saturday. Pretty happy to get 5 shows on this tour but 10 shows a year from Dso ain’t enough for me and that’s as many I’ll get of Dso for the next 3 years or so and maybe once a year pop a plane for dso. Life changes for me. Plus I’m freaking tired raising a wild man. At 9:30 I’m like let’s go to bed and look over and she’s snoring on the couch already. What’s funny is people think us catching a measly 10-12 Dso shows is soooo many lol. Meili thinks it’s the end of her fun days. Compare us to anyone yoU work with at the hospital and we do wayyyy more stuff. Hell most of America hasn’t gone outside a 50 mile radius of home in the last 5 years.

  3. Michigan-4.5

    Bama-10.5

locks of the day. Bama is now at -11 or -11.5 but got it in early

my long shot bet is ole miss money line to win at Georgia +400. That 10.5 spread is way too high. Brock bowers may not play. The spread would have to move if he’s ruled out. Georgia has limited weapons without one of the top skill players in college. They are loaded on D as always though. That will be the game of the day as Michigan wins by 17+.

  4. One of my favorite dead shows at my favorite venue. Every show at the Pabst we’d get there early to marvel at its beauty. The balcony rails are cushioned red velvet. There are no seats more than 70 feet from the stage and the sound is immaculate in the opera house. Sucks that this was the 1st Pabst show we’ve missed in 8 years. Unfortunately it would have been a 1 off Friday show. Perfect place to do this show from one of my go to 69 runs.

damn dave you got a good one. Maybe see yoU next weekend in the Lou or Chicago.

  5. The fact is your defense stepped up and beat the right tackle clean for the 4th time. Your defense won the game not him losing it. You guys scored TDs on 4 of your 1st 6 drives. Our defense got us the ball back true but they put us in that bad situation. You got pressure on the QB over 50% of his passes. That’s an insane high number and it’s the same number Tampa did when they destroyed KC. Protect the QB and you can win.

Del mccoury at brown county. Still sounds awesome. Love that little venue and the people who work it.

you’ve been on a bender lately. Good for you. There was this fake schedule of all these dead bands playing the sphere in 2024 over a few weeks that would make me a Vegas resident for a while.

    How bout them Cowboys

Dak just doesn't deliver with the ball and chance to win.

Tell me. When Dak got the ball at the end of the 4th, did anyone actually think the cowboys were going to win?

you mean the rookie TE that didn’t stretch it across for a TD. The false start then the RT whiff. Dak carried this average offense. He carried an offense who can’t run the ball at all. You won at home. Now he’s 8-4 against the eagles. He still owns you.

  8. The moonrise is the most uninsulated hotel I’ve ever been. You can hear quiet conversations all down the hallway. We were harassed and harassed by management and even when we went full whisper he said we can still hear you. I told him to stop harassing us and he left us alone but I’ll never stay there again. The bar downstairs is great. We’ve had hopslam on tap, evil twin brewery Molotov cocktail on tap(13%), and I forget the 12% stout we had. Every time we’ve been there they have some amazing high abv beer on tap. Unfortunately they eliminated the couch seating in favor of all tables so it doesn’t have the cool post show lounge we got used to there.

Looks like my Raiders finally got around to cleaning house, cutting out all the dead wood. Boy, that needed to happen. Now what?

now you deal with the Garappalo 24m dead cap for next year. At least it’s an easier out than Daniel jones, Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray and you didn’t leverage your future for Russell Wilson.

Dallas will end up winning and winning big but WTF was that. Up like 26 to 3 or something. Ball inside the 15. Dak forces a terrible throw that's picked off. Garbage play.

you weren’t watching. The pass was perfect but deflected by the DT. Dak was as accurate as I’ve ever seen all day.

    can’t wait until next week.

  11. That was the worst football game I’ve watched in a long time and it had potential for one of the greatest finishes ever. It was futility plus luck for Tampa to get to within 6pts. They almost had 2 delay of games down 14 with 10 mins left. Took over 5 mins to cross midfield. Saw some live comments on a blog wondering if they knew they were down 2 scores. Took over 7 minutes off the clock. Baker mayfield was so out of shape he was slowly walking to the huddle. Never saw an NFL starting QB that fatigued who wasn’t scrambling for his life like Mahomes in the lost SB but he was chased all night and Mayfield looked just out of shape.

**99% sure that was Fat Angel by Donovan. Never heard it before, and so I did a google search on the lyrics that I heard as it was happening :)  All good all show long but I was really digging the little extra that many of the 1st set tunes had, like the C.C. Rider, Maggie's, and that STRANGER. What is it about Pittsburgh shows and that song? It always just RIPS here.

when Rob and Jeff do a space you can get ahything. In setlists on recreations it would say DSO drums/DSO space so they have free rein and think they have been doing more space songs in the last few years than they did before.

Saw them do another song in space with lyrics in the last few years. Was it an airplane song?

my ability to HEAR the music is inseparable from my body's freedom to MOVE to it. So i don't care how nice a theatre is....i care about having a flat open floor to receive the music on. The music of the Grateful Dead is about Freedom; theaters are restrictive and they favor those with money. I like GA- or at least a GA floor.

you can have all the money in the world and 1st row seats balcony in venues and you have no room to move. We’ve been getting balcony if we know it’s gonna be packed to have seat plus floor options. In Atlanta I shmoozed the usher and told her how respectful I’d be of others if I can dance in the walkway. She said just don’t run into people. I’m like boom!!! Unfortunately was just me in a 10x10 spot with her running others away. Mei had a whole row and she was cool. I needed to move front to back

  14. I think the band likes the gorgeous theaters. I love a mega flat dance floor like that place. Give me a flat spot and room to move and that’s all i need. The Signal in Chattanooga wax just like the anthem but 5x+ smaller floor and 10x smaller overall. The anthem is the bees knees.

glad you guys got to groove in the anthem. Saw Dso 3x and Jrad once there and it always blows me away.

  15. Sorry didn’t get to say goodbye doc. As soon as that last note played I booked it out for the long drive home. Pretty sure I told my goodbyes to all pre show. Gaining an hour got us home at 3a as opposed to 4a and she got 3 hours sleep b4 work. I was joking with some Atlanta peeps why they weren’t doing Chattanooga with only 1:45 drive. I’m llike who doesn’t add a show that close. YoU are home by 1:30. That’s a no brainer. Some peeps need to fix their priorities not doing local shows like that. Some thought it was insane to see a show 1:45 away like Chattanooga to Atlanta. Pretty much everyone here besides John A tries to do every show if only 2 hours away.

Our hipster hotel was cooler than the venue, but the music at the venue was decidedly better!! 😅

it’s like do you prefer the anthem or a theater. I’ll take a box with a big flat dance floor over being behind a seat or on a slant all day. The signal was my fav of the 2 indoor b/c I could move. On that note I’ll take outdoor all day with a big PA. Cotter walked by in Birmingham and asked if it was too loud. Nope. Perfect. We can always move back if too loud but nothing you can do if not loud enough.
