That was a tough ticky, my man (so says Captain Obvious š ); Iām sorry you didnāt get in š Funny you should ask, as Iām thinking about it. Looked at plane tickets, as I am not driving the West Coast lol. SLO is such a fun town, but that one is doubtful because Iām not driving. Iām thinking about the PNW, will be sorta last-minute if I do at all. which shows are you intending on, Bill? DD

This past Saturday the Alligators came into PHX from Los Angeles and opened for Xtra Ticket. They are touring around a bit, promoting Skull and Roses along their way. The Alligators are the house band for S&R, and theyāre great. A lot of emphasis on Pig stuff, which is never a bad thing. Singer is a gregarious dude, talented musicians, all. Recommend, and theyāll be in Ventura for those going to see DSO out there.

Congrats to Michigan! (I just threw up in my mouth lol) Happy for you though, Tea! DD

Boxing Day (iykyk) 12/26 eventually settled in as part of the NYE run in Oakland, but here in 1969 the boys are in Dallas. Unique show that starts with just Jerry and Bobby, and theyāre playing acoustic guitars. Would like to highlight The Masterās Bouquet, a Hank Williams number, as well as the stage banter throughout. If you are reading this, you will like. This is worth your timeā¦ https://gratefuldeadoftheday.com/12-26-1969/

Certainly not authoritative, but HeadyVersion typically gets us in the range of ābestā. First one that appears atop for Sugaree not from Spring 1977? Lake Placid 1983 Heady Version - Sugaree

Iām gonna need one of those motion sickness bracelet thingamabobs. And a helmet might not be a bad idea, either. Place looks steep.

July 22, 1984. Ventura County Fairgrounds. As most of you may know, this venue is literally on the beach. Skull and Roses Festival takes place there every year. Show has a Dancin opener, I Just Want to Make Love to You, Dew out of Space, and two encores. Also, apparently Jerry thinks that some woman named Bertha should not ever come around there anymore. https://archive.org/details/gd84-07-22.pcm-sbd.miller.30650.sbeok.flacf/gd84-07-22d1t02.flac

Agree with you, Tea. Saw the Phoenix show, was the best Iāve seen them since 2017 Boston, and possibly even better. We got a very cool setlist that included a first set Fantasy, Dark Star, Cumby. And no tempo problems all night. Chimenti played like he was finally told he could let loose. Recommendā¦
