Maybe it's just me, but I find some of these 72' setlists to be a bit disjointed. Lot's of great songs, but not in quite the right order. They seem to have a hard time getting any momentum going.

I was a bit surprised when they busted into BEW but with the one drummer shows you gotta roll with the punches(especially when that means a late set stella AFTER you've already gotten a Comes A Time). The transition into CAT from dStar was absolutely seamless, Jeff literally just started singing out of a quite moment. The show was definitely rushed from the get-go (Eaton "we have a lot of songs to plow through tonight") but they played strong and thorough none-the-less. The Dark STar is what Noah and I were hoping for(well, we always want it..) and we were not disappointed. The jam got to many places including the sheer chaos that I cherish so much.

Really sweet venue, perhaps a little oversold but I was happy to see some good attendance! and they did dance :grouphug:

still.... out.... of... breath.......... ...........

ok. that was FUN! lotsa songs, lotsa people, lotsa joy and lotsa ripping tunes! Really enjoyed Cold rain thru el paso.... it was twisty and the disjointed sense was stringy instead to keep it connected.... fun to see them move immediately song to song. I have come to really enjoy TN Jed and Casey Jones because of Jeff, before I was pretty bored by them.

i am used to seeing super long first sets I suppose, but the super long second sets the last few shows I have seen have been so great! promised land straight to he's gone got the energy flows building and falling in regular and unforgettable but necessary fashion, you win again was GREAT! gset had me totally out of my head and i think this is when i knew this set was gonna eat my brain from the inside out.

ramblin on as a little rose stumbling into DARK STAR into COMESATIME straightaway was just so amazing and heart wrenchingly emotional.... the universe opened on my head and made me realize why I am here. that blind man took my hand and here on the dark star i realize i'm just a little sunshine daydreamer and THEN we have a whole second 2nd set coming through the speakers with a swooping and looping brown eyed and the beat it on down that made that line go all curvy just to still get a gorgeous stella!?! what!?!? then out the door without fading to head into the night CRAVING MORE!

see ya in a few hours!
