I heard this afternoon, in conversation, that it's possible that the virus is weakening as it spreads now and this could just be a 2020 thing. Supposedly that's what they're finding out in Italy, ground zero,  to which we're about a month behind them.🙃🎼🎼🎼🙂♦️♠️♣️♥️

Something rolling back and forth in my mind. If this thing dries up and goes away or a vaccine is introduced, and society goes right back to normal (albeit tentative, but quick), does that mean we are resilient or impatient. Seems to me the protests have overtaken the virus for media coverage, and to me (while I 100% support them) it just seems the media was getting bored with the virus, or impatient. If this pandemic doesn't create lasting change in our society is that a good thing or a bad thing? I can't wait to get back as close as.possible to the old normal, but I am a big fan of how clean public spaces have become. I hope that sticks.

I’m thinking no ones going to catch the flu this year.

rule 1 at shows. No fucking loud singing. They spread viruses and I hate those people. Bands should announce this as screaming can project massive amounts of virus particles far away. But it’s more important just to shut people up who sing loud evoifh that others can hear. I mouth words at times but no one will hear my voice.

As a follow up, I’ve caught the flu on 2 New Years runs and the gf at 3. Packing a venue with people screaming becomes a super spreader event. You never really think about the flu because 30 million catch it and and only the weakest die.

singing at shows must be banned!!!! The best shows I’ve been to are ones where the crowd was silent during the music. I still fondly recall Lisa singing chimes of freedom right after the douche bag took office in Portland. You could hear a pin drop. Now the 60 seconds of screaming applause after the song likely wasn’t super healthy.

At least with the flu I still caught the shows even though likely Infected others but don’t think you could dance with a corona chest infection.

Thank you for this !!!!! Couldn't agree more about people song ng louder than those on stage.  Drives me crazy....I mean yes you have a right but how about respecting we came to hear the band not you lmao.

Actually there is no such thing as a right to sing at a show. Go to the opera and sing and see how long you are allowed to stay. Bands tolerate it for money. They could have singers escorted out. It’s one reason I usually go to the back. The dancing area is free of that.
