This venue was fabulous! 15 min drive from  the peninsula pf downtown Charleston along the banks of the Cooper River. We took in lovely breezes this time of year with ample space for good visibility. Picnic blankets, cane creek chairs and happy people littered the lawn in front of a fabulous stage.

oh where to begin! I took my daughter to her first DSO show, though she has a little deadhead resume seeing the Jerry’s birthday celebration at Red Rocks Bob Weir put on and some southern D&Co shows but she really loved the scene that is DSO. We hullabaloo’d last night! And i t was a real unexpected blast to see Vince and Sue!! The band gave us he psychedelic download and we walked in the transitive nightfall of into diamonds. The Dark Star was so crafted, spinning crystalline sound folding in again and again like orgami. The guy bothering us durimg Lovelight finally got the message we weren’t there to meet him, in the middle of a song!!  and rather dance and hear the music. The sweet people up front folded us in and there was a real dance party going on. Nothing to me caps a show like William Tell and the Eleven.

No more time to tell how
This is the season of what
Now is the time of returning
With our thought jewels polished and gleaming!

When Lauren and I were leaving, a lady stopped us. It was her first of a Grateful Dead kind of show. She said she took in the scene and was figuring out what it was about. She said watching us dance and really express the music made it make sense. Wow! What a compliment.

May the golden road bless us all.

Fun show! Like taking a step way back to 1969. Rob does a great job on the Pigpen vocals and Lisa does great on the harp! It’s amazing. DSO takes the stage, the music starts, and I am transformed into a teenager again! So grateful for all the music and love that DSO lays on us!

Only show i caught on the tour,  and I stumbled into a jewel! I was already in Charleston for a family reunion wrapped around the Spoleto Festival.

Went to the show with several friends I've known for at least 40 years. Brimming with gratitude.

Next show will be at Merriweather, where I'll witness a show I attended in '85. 🙏🙏

My second DSO show at The Refinery.

Such a sweet venue!! I may make this an annual pilgrimage.
