Dallas had won 1. In 2016 all they had to do was stop Rodgers going 50yds in less than a minute and he got a 40yd scramble pass to a wide open guy. Against the Rams in 2018 they gave up over 250yds rushing. Horrible defense. And last year against the 49ers their insane defense had a record 24 QB pressures in that game. It’s taken an entire team failure for Dallas to suck in the playoffs and their defense looks to be normal pathetic cowboys form. Jerry spends all his money on offense. Zeke has a ludicrous 19mil cap hit. That’s stupid for a guy who can’t make big plays. Jerry has said he doesn’t trust outsiders which are free agents. He only signs FA’s to min contracts but will extend his own to inflated contracts. the Eagles went out and made deals to improve their team but Jerry won’t ever do that. He’s built teams that will at least be 9-8, but won’t risk future 9-8 teams to go for it like the eagles did. I think it’s either the Eagles or 49ers that will win the NFC. Dallas is the only other team with a shot but the O line is shot. 3 starters and the main backup are gone from last years team and we can’t run anymore. The eagles can run as well as the 49ers. The worst thing that’s happened to Dallas was the eagles losing those 2 straight forcing Dallas to play starters last game.

When was the last time Dak lost to the Eagles? It’s been a long time. Didn’t he just put up a monster game vs them. 27/35 347 3 TDs 1 int plus 40 yds on the ground. I don’t tbink the eagles gave up 40 all year or 1 300yd passing game. That’s what Dak can do. The last game was meaningless. since 2020 with Dak under center, Dallas has scored on average 3 more points than any other team. I thought you guys drafted a QB 2nd the same year we got Dak in the 4th round. Aww Carson Wentz. That was a good one. Hurts has played well this year but is hurt a bit like most running QBs. Not a sustainable thing being a running QB.

This SEC bias is ridiculous. The refs gave Georgia the game. I hope the smart peeps of QAnon decide to take this issue on because this is a conspiracy bigger than having the election stolen from Trump who we all know won. Georgia maybe had 500 fans at the game to my 70k and you want me to believe that Georgia could win. Look at the people so excited for me and Georgia had maybe 70 people there. There’s definitely fraud involved. 200k people were at the game cheering on TCU and maybe 5-6 Georgia fans and you want me to believe there’s not fraud when literally 0 fans show for Georgia and the entire state of Texas is supporting TCU. We need to get Wild at BCS headquarters. Who’s with me. We need to fight because this is TCU’s only chance ever to get in the playoff being truly around the 20th best team like their FPI ranking. We can’t let this SEC bias continue. Don’t believe the lies about how the SEC every year dumps more talent into the NFL of any conference by a lottttttt. Those are lies told by the mainstream media. Teams like TCU and Cincinnati and Michigan state would go undefeated or at worst 1 loss in the SEC. Only 10 of the top 25 recruiting classes every year are in the SEC. What about the other 4 teams who barely recruit top 40!!! The parity in the big 10 west is what makes it so strong. Parity is good. Purdue is next man up and showed why they were highly regarded. Next year maybe Northwestern will shine again. Maybe Illinois will replicate the big year.

I’m hoping Dallas threw the game and used it to just get a bit of cardio b/c they were pathetic. They were averaging a whopping 35.1 pts a fake since Daks return and took a dump today. It’s been 5 games since Dallas averaged at least 4 yards per carry rushing and the running backs were at a nice 2.2ypc today. You don’t win like that. Zeke finished the season with 3.8 ypc with his 19 mil cap hit. Good lord. This postseason is the last we will see him in a cowboys uniform. Micah parsons who was the odds on favorite for defensive player of the year is now a shell of himself from injuries but in a meaningless game, we play him the whole thing. A few games ago the coaches tried to take him out and he said if you think I’m too hurt to play I’m too hurt to prescribe and McCarthy let him finish a game we were up 30. He has no control of the players. Parsons with all his talent is a shell of his early season self but he doesn’t care enough to try to heal. No. He just get hurt again today and limps off the field when we were the 5 seed anyway. We lost 2 O line starters and 2 CB starters for the season over the last 4 weeks. We hired 2 retired players to be starters b/c of lack of depth. Jerry Jones refusal to sign any outside player to more than league minimum has left us paper thin at multiple positions. He was relying on rookies to automatically be starters and when that didn’t happen he had no backup plan. Last years WR5 is the WR2 this year and he can’t run a route. Of course a 5yr guy who just caught his 1st TD this year and is making the league minimum can’t be relied upon. Worst game I’ve ever seen. Our USFL punt returner muffed his 2nd punt this year. You don’t keep your job as a punt returner fumbling 2 punt fair catches in a year. It’s why he played arena football and USFL. I hope to god they were just using this as a bit of exercise and saving all the good plays for the playoffs.

i walked that hill in 1994 when everyone had to hold hands in a big chain as it was a mud slick. But we walked the steep way to the ridge where the clothing vendors are. It was a surreal sight seeing all these lines of people holding hands in a chain and as people slipped the chain would move side to side but held. The curious part is how did the chain start. We are talking at least a 20 degree slope up to a 30 degree at points and it was slick clay after the monster thunderstorm that came through. To climb you had to have your foot flat and lean back a bit and use the person in front to keep you from falling back. the problem with that is Hyryder does New Years shows in Indy and those fans are ultra loyal and you couldn’t fill the joint up splitting the crowd. But a 6-7 hour combo show of both bands in a 3k capacity venue would be a hoot but you’d need a team doctor there to handle all the peeps falling out. I’ve never tried to dance for 6 hours. Guessing it would be hard. also when drinks roll down hill it becomes super slippery and dangerous. The Riverside in Milwaukee has that issue. They sell draft beers and someone 20 rows back spills a beer and it rolls all the way down to the floor section. It’s a menace. People there jokingly referred to it as the Riverslide or slip and slide theater.

the hill only sucks if you are packing gear up and down. The climb sans gear is just a bit of healthy leg burn and cardio if you walk it briskly. It pays dividends the following week. That will get you an Eaton show ban. He hates those fuckers but mostly because they are gang members pulling money from the scene, but then again I’ve had some Grateful gangstas steal shit from my tent so there are scumbags all around.

epic time!!!! Trying to catch sport on tour is always fun. The only thing we got was an OSU V MD game in Columbus 4 years ago and that was like a 60-7 game. i think Billy Strings is pulling peeps from other tours. Nashville panic was so unsold that they closed the 300 level night 1 and night 2 maybe 100 tix were sold for the whole upper arena but at least we could go up there. I have to think it’s Billy pulling peeps away. He already sold out 2 nights of Bridgestone which is nuts.

It’s crazy because in a text group every friend agreed that they had to postpone the game and when the NFL initially announced a 5 minute warmup period we were like WTF!!!!!! Luckily the NFL heeded the on air personalities. The NFL is run by a bunch of idiots. I think the world forced them to do the right thing vs their inclination to continue play. Billionaires don’t get that way by not conducting business and they wanted the show to go on. Bones get broken but you don’t die in the NFL. i was reading that after cardiac arrest in general, they always induce a coma for 24+ hours and put a breathing tube in you once they get your heart rhythm back to normal in the hospital.

Saw widespread panic’s 2 night run at Bridgestone Nashville. The upper level was unsold so we went from the packerd floor up to a sweet wide open smoking section for our group. Their arena sound was dialed in. There were points that we sat and closed our eyes and left the universe and we were pretty much sober and they still scrambled my head. 30 minute long intentional psychsdelic melt segments in 2nd set. It reminded me of Roger waters how the sound was coming at you from every angle. They really did the light show up being an arena New Years and it wasn’t a normal speaker setup too. It was nicely set up to move the sound everywhere and there was a 5 minute stretch where the stage was gone and these crazy lights started taking us on a space ride. Note I just had a bit of whiskey and it felt as wild as any trip. I think I got tranced. I realize I need to see Panic more. I was blown away. Of course New Years in a massive joint gets more invested in the sound and lights but man was it was epic. edit: we got a Low Spark and a love the one you’re with at midnight New Years. I thought I was at a DSO show.

So we almost went to the music city bowl being in Nashville. Omg thank god we didn’t. There was a bowl article ranking the games and it said that game rivaled the worst games in bowl history. Every offensive player opted out. Here’s how bad the 21-0 Iowa win was. Iowa was 0-11 on 3rd and 0/2 on 4th downs. Not 1 conversion all day on 3 and 4th. Kentucky was 2/18 on 3rds. Iowa had 2 pick 6’s plus 1 drive. We soooo dodged a bullet not overpaying on the $8 tickets on stubhub. The only positive is my buddy easily won betting the 31 point under. 31 points was the o/u and that was too high lol.

he got the 1st. He never touched down. Looked pretty clearly like he got it on the review. The fact is Georgia should have never been playing osu round 1. Michigan had a great season but OSU was a better team who got whooped 1 game by Michigan. Can’t believe TCU beat them. Let’s see if TCU’s 3 star oline guys can stop Georgia’s D line like OSU’s future NFLers did. both were awesome games. Finished the osu Georgia game at 5am post show. Crazy. TCU doesn’t have the speed to escape the Georgia defenders like osu does. I’m calling a 55-27 Georgia win.

Have a blast everyone!!! wish we could be there!

crazy. Doing a rebuild after you signed Adams to that monster contract lol. Seems like half the QBs in the NFL are injured now. Didn’t want to risk the 33m guaranteed for injury when they were cutting bait. What’s crazy is he’s no longer even in the building. He’s been asked to stay away for the last 2 weeks. I want to get 2mil a game to sit home and watch football like Carr is getting being healthy.
-
Again the football championship is New Years freaking eve. The 1st year they did that they saw something like 25% lower ratings because everyone is doing stuff that night. They put the garbage Mich v TCU on in the afternoon of course. We can watch that much less appealing matchup than OSU Georgia. Where we are staying has no DVR. And if they do the replay at midnight, they have the stupid score scroller at the bottom that will tell you who won lol. That was a matchup I’ve been dying to watch. Explosive offense vs country’s best defense. Ugh. I guess a 3 set Panic show will have to suffice.
-
you created them to work on the farm until they are 14yrs old and get married. Unfortunately people aren’t having kids early and we have a birth dearth because corporations took over the farms eliminating the need for lots of kids.
-
considering it’s only an extra hundred bucks to not have to carry your gear up and down that hill, it will likely stay that way. If they do the $1000 vip like other fests, I’ll get an electric wagon and go GA.
-
That game hurt me. 6-2 last 8 and we gave up a 14 and 17 point lead or undefeated. Bix was there in person for the collapse. The worst part was we should have had a 1st down in OT but it hit the receiver in the chest and bounced into a DB for a pick 6. Wtf
-
The RV passes do sell out but not sure when. You can always sell it later as they are the 1st thing to go. VIP has also been selling out a month or so before. The new VIP RV area is set up very nicely now with the graded packed gravel section. If it’s muddy and that’s a big possibility with a fest right before, you have zero issue with mud in that vip area but may in the GA top of the hill.

Every time I see Deadco I’m thinking the sound is horrible. JRAD adds insane delay to the whole show which really pisses me off. It gets to be a muddled mess even though I love seeing them. Cotter just needs to run sound for everyone. He keeps it clean and you hear every cymbal hit crystal. There are times at JRAD where I can’t even hear Russo’s drums. Hyryder always has really clean sound. If they didn’t we wouldn’t go see them. The dead is about crystal sound. They had so much attention to detail on their sound and the best dead bands make sure they have that clean sound. At summerfest a few years ago we got there for the Phish tribute before DSO. The sound wasn’t good. I was all stressed out thinking maybe it was the setup. Nope. Once dso comes on it sounds amazing.
-
I don’t believe new potato caboose plays dead. Looked them up on Apple Music and they play originals. Dso doesn’t get other dead bands to play besides Melvin or would love to see Hyryder there on that big PA one year since they are right down the road. and the car pass doesn’t let you in the bowl. It’s the same as every other year besides charging for a car vs one included in the price of a ticket. Every other fest charges for a car so figure they wanted a new revenue stream. At least it’s not $500 like skull and roses eek.
-
Note this year you need to purchase a car pass separately. It’s no longer included in the ticket price. Inflation….

That place is old and back then they didn’t worry about someone being an idiot and falling and them getting sued b/c the railings were too low. We were in this opera type box seeing dso in I think Boston and the rail was about 18” high in this 8 person box and I was scared to death my shin was gonna hit that rail and me flip over. It was so low that the rail actually made it almost more dangerous than no rail at all. I put a chair between me and the rail. It was nerve racking.
-
Under the balcony you can’t see the PA speakers so you can’t get the sound besides these tiny old mounted bookshelf looking speakers. When we have those seats we go up to the upstairs dance area behind the seats which is super cramped. Being 6’4, under the overhang, I have to duck just to see the bands faces. The balcony at the Ryman is the spot to get seats unless you can get 1st 8-10 rows down low.
-
Yeah that sounds pretty epic. We got to do Billy strings Christmas spectacular in 2018 with 300 others in a tiny joint but it was all Billy joined on stage by the McCourry’s and a bunch of other Nashville peeps. Don’t think Billy still does 300 person shows. I can’t believe he sold out 2 Bridgestone arena shows in Nashville. He’s getting rich lol. But I found out that many bought tix to Bridgestone to get in the lottery for the Ryman show lol. Hilarious the peeps selling tix to Bridgestone on CoT saying they just bought them to get a shot at the Ryman. Lol

Every song played was in backwards chronological order starting with Samba and ending with Cream Puff War. Set 2 they played Go to Heaven in order so that was the exception. interesting concept. I verified the dates 1st played in the annotated Grateful Dead lyrics which lists the dead original performance. They made sure every song was 1st played before the song before. I didn’t realize it at the time just being in the groove. i don’t think anyone we talked to at the show wasn’t going to skull and roses. All those Indy peeps are going out there to enjoy a fest and support Hyryder. Like every person we talked with lol. I was making a comment in the bathroom how I wish there was the dance space like DSO in Atlanta Roxy a year ago and dude next to me said that was an awesome weekend. He was one of the few that showed for shows at that epic venue. It’s a small world in the dead scene. Having a deadicated dead bar in Indy really helps to build the following.
