  2. It was a really fun evening starting with dinner with Dino and other friends at the Speakeasy across the street then at the rail for the first set which included the best "Red Rooster" I've heard. It was good to hear Bobby Whitlock's and Clapton's song "Keep on Growing". For second set I went upstairs where I could occasionally sit down to rest my old body. The combined "Dark Star>Drums 'n Space" clocked right at 30 minutes. A beautiful young lady started dancing in the space in front of Chris and me which got me up shaking my bones again. "Wharf Rat" brought on a slow dance while we listen to the story of those less fortunate.....after Saturday Night and Brothers and Sisters, "I got up and wandered Wandered downtown, nowhere to go but just hang around" Outside there was a little band playing on the flatbed truck and folks dancing a bit and a few dogs on leash watching everyone have fun. Peace and Love, Doc

  3. If you like your GD not frenetic, not whimsical, but "authentic"...then there's nothing like a DSO show.

  4. 46yr old set list brought back to life in a venue not quite three times that age. The two went together famously. Cool part of downtown adjacent to Olympic park. Minglewood, high time and music never stopped were my first set highlights. Really the whole second set was a highlight. Drums into other one heart pounding. Security was a little rigid about the aisles, but there was some dance space to be found. A thousand thanks to the whole dso operation for bringing us the goods.

  5. Now that was a fun crowd. We all had room to get down and I tried to keep up with the kids in the back but I had no chance. Full on get down with 50 hard hard dancers ruling the back and post D/S when the gawkers left the entire place was in full get down. Watching 300 peeps no matter if they ever danced before all get down b/c if you weren’t shaking your bones you’d be really out of place, is always a hoot!! We left drenched and exhausted and hit the road for the 4 hour drive home. Thank you DSO for reminding us what our favorite band does like no other!!! When I say DSO is Meilis fav band they are like that’s because of you. No. I did start it of course. There’s nothing that does it for her like this. Dso is what the dead was for older peeps and thank you for carrying on the elite level of dead for the new and older generations and the new generation was on display in Chattanooga and their get down was fun to be involved with. Cheers. also this was my 200th show. Covid delayed that small milestone 3 years as we’d prob be at 300 without the shutdown>covid baby.
