Definitely not one of the best songs ever written by the GD, but a song that will always shake every atom in your being when you hear DSO jam it right. I agree with many previous post. DSO takes it to a new level. Its a song that needs to be experienced live. The power and thunder in that song is rivaled by very few. DSO can speed it up where it makes old Metalica, and Iron Maiden seem like elevator music you heard as a 10 year old. I have never heard a GD version that matches DSO---particularly----BLK Mnt--would say 2017--maybe. Didnt they end 69' Jubilee with a crushing VLB?------I think I saw T collapse after that encore--granted---it was power packed show before the slayed the encore. Songs with that much jam have to be heard live. T for Terrapin-----definitely top 10 along with Ripple....but really-----I can not honestly rate songs mentioned in past post as each one mentioned has moved me in ways the others have not. Individually they all really seem as important as the next. Less Tons of Steel-----still I can relate to a bitch burning hot---least a machine can be turned off, just Leshing the grade. Quality sound--great jams---they know what they are doing with the music!! Tom----during death dont have no mercy------keyboard stand collapsed. I literally watched Tom keep playing during the whole event. He never stopped moving his fingers----the sounds produced were so appropriate to the song---but even more....there was a good 5 mins that 2 guys were holding his keyboard so he can play. Me and some other guy who worked for venue got two stools to rest his equipment on. It was not a catastrophe, it was beautiful to watch artist, no matter the situation, keeping the tradition of allowing the music to go on---as the show must go on. The only thing I can compare it too was watching JK look at Phil when Bobby collapsed in New York. JK was like WTF---Phil was like glad its not me, and the band played on. Big credits to Tom------again----they are touring and yes, it is worth your time and money!!!! All that being said-----There is a guy on this board who has a awesome story about Tom and his personal connection with GD first keyboardist. I recommend figuring out who that guy is and making him tell you the story. Its rather awesome, close to home, and a great informational story that makes this whole GD experience closer to home!!! Its not I know a guy who knows a guy. ... I am so lucky to know many of you that have enriched my GD/DSO experiences. I will offer....the guy on the board who has this personal experience is part of what I call the Carolina Contingent. Stats are racist. Rude --African Americans are 13.3 percent of the population. Where is the equality in the FBI for 2020 stats above? Everyone got checks, no evictions, yet still imbalanced. I really see those Asians as the biggest problem, yet they cant get into the best schools because of quotas. Our country and most people are incapable of talking about race, reasons, and roots. If you look at the stats above, you can very well see why there is a issue with a certain population not being vaccinated. Maybe smaller, but not all that is small has huge implications for the larger community. I do not mind debate and discussion. I do not feel the impact of emotional responses as I do my best to be logical, rationale, with some either historical or evidence for my claim. If a group of people wish not to be outliers or somehow marginalized----Do what the pilgrims did or work within the system to change--- but do so based on reasonable historical, factual, and tangible features of the argument. Covid appears to have eliminated the most needy of society. Rude, there are definitely rotten apples. They do some damage for our community and society as a whole. At times, we have been bad apples. To deny that is unreasonable. That would be best for society as a whole and a person would be selfless to say, I have a Huntington gene, sterilize me so it can never again be passed down. Would that not be the right thing to do? I do not like slippery slopes. Flu vaccine been around for long while. But, who is to say that the flu vaccine does not cause cancer 10-20 years down the line. Does medicine know everything? The only argument I can realize is that Covid is acute and a sterilization project would not be a immediate gratification!!! Do not force by governmental mandates to do this because it allows government more room to do the next mandate that we might not agree with. Hospital workers worked 1 1/2 years with out a vaccine. Those workers were pressed, stressed, and experienced the worse of what we will never see and experience. To force them now at risk of their jobs when they battled in the trenches. To me that is like Vietnam Vets coming home after being drafted, shell shocked, twisted from seeing death and destruction with no choice just to come home and have --- hate to say --- hippies spit on them. This sort of thing happens all the time in animal populations and we will see more Covids as our world population grows. When nature is unbalanced, it finds ways to balance. My point-----as with Brian's----be respectful of your fellow person. Give your fellow person a choice about interacting with you based on your personal choices. We own our bodies, what we do for good or bad to our own person is or should be, at the very least our fundamental right as humans. It is your life, you do with it as you want, but your choices will have consequences. Reasonable should always be allowed to make those choices between risk and reward for themselves. Its obviously a fairly important socio-political ideology for me----as I see so many freedoms being giving up based on collective good. We are not China.
